  1. Re: BBOTD - Jan 2nd 2012

Thought I would be backing Argentine in the first all night but was expecting at least 5/1 and I'm not entirely convinced that the horse puts it all in at the finish. Will have to see how the market goes. At a better price and with only 6 rivals, course specialist Il Batista is the bet....
    Oh Bell Ends!!:wall :lol
  2. Re: BBOTD - Jan 1st 2012 Thanks Trotter - I am really wrestling with this one.... I know it's aftertiming but was on at 12/1 last time and I think that maybe swaying me into a bet.... 12/1 off 85 or 3/1 off 91 in a stronger race!? There will be better opportunities along at bigger prices but to coin a Poker expression, 'I am struggling to lay this one down'!!

  3. Re: BBOTD - Jan 1st 2012 Can I play please...!? It's been a while. New Year n all that! 120 Southwell - Even Stevens - 5 for 6 @ Southwell and 3 for 3 over CD. Last time was the time to be on this one and the overnight 12/1 with Ladcrooks was a great bet (nice bit of aftertiming for first post back!). However, based on his last run which was won in reasonabley comfortable style and his obliteration of the field last March 22nd, the guaranteed 3/1 with various firms looks ok. In the real world - the only thing stopping me backing this horse is the change of stable for which I cannot find a reason. I probably won't at 3s but I do think it is the likely winner. Good Luck All

  4. Re: Best Bet Of The Day - 7th May 2008... Best rated horse, fit, should stay on breeding and got 1m as a 2yo... Form of all races has worked out well including narrow defeat to recent 1,000 Gns second...

B Hills trains winners for fun round here and I've just seen the race is for the Robert Sangster Memorial Cup - his best ever owner I would think... The fact that Stoute,O Brien and Gosden train the next 3 in the betting (artificcially short) means that Sugar Mint is (imho) starting at far too big a price... Should be 11/8 abs tops. Have also noticed that Ladbroes are completley ducking her which is a good sign. They are also longest on Sail and supposedly have the best contacts with the Irish Yards... It's never a 2/1 shot anyway...

  5. Re: UEFA Cup matches - Thu 14th Sept Do Blackburn play on an artificial pitch? Have Blackburn ever won away in Europe? Are they as good as Valencia who Salzburg beat 1-0 at home this season.... Salzburg top of their League and undefeated... Backed em at 8/13 without the draw... Never win when I post on here so this is potentially the last time!! Gd Luck all.

  6. Re: Wimbledon (M+F) Watched Bjorkman live too in Oz vs Rusedski in the first round (2005). Such an awesome game. Power vs Guile and he had absolutely mentl support.... Was like a football match with us brits being redily outshouted....! Having played to a reasonable standard i just know how hard it is to overcome H2Hs like this.... Typical BBC to take it off for pit pat tennis!:D

  7. Re: Wimbledon (M+F) As an avid fan of Ana Ivanovic, I hope she does get at least a set today... Thing is, she's painfully slow around the court and I don't feel grass really suits her... Really hope I'm wrong but I watched her live in Oz and Wimbledon last year and think Mauresmo will steam roller her... Pierce didn't reallyhave to break sweat lsat yr to take Ana out in the last 32... Hope I'm wrong, Ana is gorgeoussssssss!!!:eek

  8. Re: The Games 2006 Agree with Bowles. Thing is Curling and the Archery are a complete lottery. Javine could easily finish last in one of them... Not touching Javine altho she is the most likely winner. Onto the mens.... What a stitch up!!!! Jade wins waterski and picks up 2 points on MC. MC wins Weights and new PB rules ensure he picks up 4 points on Jade!!! Next Jade dominates Kendo, can't get a PB and only scores 2 more than MC who should have at best scored 2.5 for joint 3rd - not 3. He was inches away from finishing last! Onto tonights vault... Jade clearly wins but MC gets the nod for flopping over then doin a little jump on the floor!! Ree-****ing-diculous. Dando was gutted for Jade after the event. Still think he will win but it should be wrapped up by now - it really should. The producers are desperate to keep this close and MC is a shoe-in for the 100m. Jade should piss diving and Javilin.... Mc is best at Speed skating. Could possibly come down to the cycling. Based on body shape you'd have to fancy Jade but it can't be the certainty it shoudl have been anymore due to some very dodgy scoring! Do they not realise this is an important betting event? Anyone would think it was more about entertainment and viewing figures:tongue2 !! Gets!! Hopefully MC finishes 4th tomorrow. Watch tho - he'll be given a PB, Jade won't be and dispite pissing all over him will only go clear by 2 points!! Would bet this at odds on!! Goin to bed now - v annoyed!!:@ :@ :@

  9. I love this programme and have managed to pick the winner more times than not.... Javine is by far the most likely winner of the women's event. However, at 4/7 I won't be partaking. Trouble is Amanda Lamb (v Sexy) and Bernie Nolan are likely to fill the bottom 2 places in the vast majority of the events. This means the MP and Michelle Gayle are goin to be able to keep tabs on Javine (who is clearly the better athlete). There are a couple of games that involve alot of luck (Cirling, Archery, Canoeing) and with the added complication of extra points for personal bests she won't get as far ahead as her talent deserves. At 4/7 I can live without it. In the Men's event however, they are all reasonably matched. This having been said, Jade Jones (whom I am trying to hate for shagging Bunton) is 5/4 with Blue Square. From what I have seen Jade should come 1st or 2nd in Waterski, Vault, Diving, Javilon and should be at least 3rd in the 100m, Weights, Skating and Cycling. This leaves him Kendo which is probably gonna be down to chance. Assuming he finishes last he should still have enough points to win the title convincingly. The other men all have their strengths but they are all also shite at other things so will therefore take points off one another. You can't, of course, account for injury etc but at 5/4 I truly believe this to be a fantastic bet. Best I have seen for ages... Starts at 830 tonight and is always great viewing. Good Luck if you get involved...

  10. This may well have been done already. Guessing the horse may often be in the favorite race too.... One only (that never happens!!) Mine is ARAZI. Awesome, amazing display at the Breeders Cup weaving through the entire field before galloping away from them in the straight. The American commentary was brilliant as their Champion got blown away! Didn't have a penny on and Arazi didn't train on but this was by far the most impressive thing I have ever seen on a racecourse...:clap
