I don't really see what point you are making to be honest - other than that you haven't been restricted. Well done!! And Lars - I know - I am moaning - and for that I apologise. Obviously I can open other accounts but am running out of options. Judging by the standard of tipping on here I assumed - maybe incorrectly that other people on this forum would have experienced similar problems and be able to help. Was honestly seeing if anyone had a different appraoch or a way round this other than new accounts.

    Re: Serious Help required..... To be fair - it's not really about Betfair - more about Bookmakers and what to do about it!! I have run out of people to ask account wise and the difference between getting the best price and taking SP will make a massive indent in profits - if there are any profits left!!:(

BOOKMAKERS are absolutely taking the piss now. I can get on with one at the moment and they are not laying overnight prices!!! RAGE!!!!!!:@:@:@ I know this isn't an explanation as to the horses chance - I will do one later when I have calmed down and worked out what to do about this!!!:wall

If the betting forecasts I have seen are anywhere near right there are 2 that I definatly going to have an interest in tomorrow... Am dreading them being 'flagged up' early because if they are half their forecast odds I'm gonna be in a real quandry as to whether I consider them value or not... What normally happens at the moment is that I'll half my stake at the lower odds and they hose up! Tis getting beyond a joke this month!:eyes

If I was 'playing' for the Bookmaker again, I would do exactly the same. It's gotten to the point where I am completely paranoid about accounts and posting on here, for example, before I have got my money down at the price I want. This is nearly always impossible at the moment as someone will inevitably have £2 on with Bet £3.65, VC or Betfair and the value is gone. I am more often than not, left with a headache of deciding whether or not to bet a selection at the new available odds!! I'm not a massive, massive punter but I make it pay. When you can't even get a £50 bet on without a phonecall being made(not talking about Pricewise!) you know the game is changing yet again!! Thought about pretending to play on the FOBT the other day!!!! :rollin

The problem lies is that people just can't wait and as you say - prices then come in and alert the bookies to any percieved ricks! And when you do want to back one that has money stacked up you find yourself left with little choice but than to try and get in front of the croud!! One thing I would say though, is that it is Bookmkaers closing sucessful accounts that forces people onto Betfair and you can't blame them for still wanting to get what they percieve as value! I am out of accounts at the moment, will be up and running for Cheltenham but am fairly sure I will be exclusive on Betfair again by the time Royal Ascot comes about. It's a nightmare!!:wall

    425 Wolves - Chester Deelyte - 9/4 BOG Paddy Power Something seems to have clicked with this horse and although his last 2 runs have been sound I DO NOT recomend betting at around 9/4 as a long term route to profit!! Dancing Welcome is a good price at 10/1 and is probably the better bet(!!!!!) However - I am hoping that he is not fit and need a winner so am going with the more likely one rather than the one at a better vlaue price! Good Luck All
    F*** me! If I had, had even average luck this January, I would be well in front!! It's an irrelevent time of year in the scheme of things but that's the 4th time in January alone I've made the wrong decision!! Ah well - we have all been there - gotta believe it'll come good again! Have been backing winners to half stakes and piling on the losers!!! I know - take a break etc. Thing is - I reckon if I back 20 longshots all year missing one or 2 of them is gonna make a massive difference to the years figures!! I'm going out!!!:spank

    Constant disregards for their customers.... If you say you will be up and running by 1000.... BE READY FOR 1000!!! At worse be up to an hour late..... It's not as if this maintenence wasn't planned and you should have had a good idea of how long it would take..... Take this scheduled time an add an hour for **** ups! TO GO FROM 1000 TO 1400 in one hit is completley unacceptable!!!! I've got bets on there that need laying off for this avos racing!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't get me wrong - without Betfair I wouldn't have been able to turn a profit over the years but their technical support is an absolute joke!! My cash is tied up with them and it really isn't fair!! Do this stuff at night as soon as the football is over. Or do it on a night where there isn't football and start it as soon as the Racing finishes!! I admire Betfair and am greatful for them but if there was an alternitive with the same liquidity, people would be moving!!:(

    425 Wolves - Chester Deelyte - 9/4 BOG Paddy Power Need a winner to re-establish confidence and am going short! As much based on the poor opposition as much as the horse itself who posted a massive speed figure over 5f last time. That race was set up for a finisher by Wreningham and the selection seems better over 6f. Something seems to have clicked with this horse and although his last 2 runs have been sound I DO NOT recomend betting at around 9/4 as a long term route to profit!!     Re: Pricewise I'll show you evidence if you will pay me the £25 at 16/1 they wouldn't let me have in the shop!! Absolutely raging!!!!!!! Nice work though... It's been a bl hard day. Have perused Sunday and Mondays Flat and unless there is a major price rick, I'm having a couple of days off!!:(

    Re: Pricewise Corals were giving out £25 online for unrestricted accounts - 16's for about 3 minutes. Shop told me I could have SP rather than the 16/1 on their screens. Waste of time!! Boyles wouldn't lay £2 at 20/1! I will be exclusively on Betfair by the time the flat proper comes about!:@

    Re: BBOTD Friday 6th of January Wasn't going to be betting today....:\ 645 Wolverhampton - Vanilla Rum 9/2 BOG £3.65... Can anyone actually get a bet on with this firm?! So annoying!!!!:@ Anyway - First run in a Class 7 - possibly the worst race I have ever bet in! Since being fitted with blinkers, Vanilla Run has produced 2 decent placed runs over C&D. That's pretty hot form in the context of this line up!! Good Draw in 4 so shoudn't get stuck out wide and the Jockey should be able to go where he likes. With respect to the owners, this really is a poor race and shouldn;t take much winning. A crisis of confidence is pushing me towards backing this one EW but I know that doesn;t make financial sense!! Not completely convinced about his resolution in a finish so will be leaving my stake available to back at odds on most likely... Good Luck All

    Really hope I am not treading on any toes but pressed for time... 710 Wolves - Royal Acclamation - 9/2 BOG Bet £3.65 You gotta love horse racing when 2 you have been waiting for pop up in the same race!! Royal Acclamation's chance is there for all to see. 4l clear of the third last time out he has won on and above this mark on many occassions. Hasn't won at Wolves but I think that's an anomaly and he has run well there in the past. I will also be backing Blueberry Fizz in the race as I believe he should have won last time out and will certinaly run well for a long way. 7/2 is short at the moment though and I will be looking for a bigger price before laying off in running at hopefully considerably shorter!! The way my luck is running in this competition (Argentine, Ghostwing) this one will probably win! Good Luck All

Fav is well in but odds on in a handicap can sometimes be worth opposing. Selection is in form and well in based on recent chase runs. Bet to nothing with 9 currently going to post. Good Luck All

    Re: BBOTD Tuesday 3rd January I guess!! I think it has a good chance of winning if it learnt anything from it's last run.... Just would rather have posted than not to let BH know that all his efforts are appreciated and I'm not just dissappearing! (again!) It's the closest thing I can see to a bet but at the 3/1 available I'll pass and I can't see a bet worth having today. I'd want at least 11/2 before getting involved. Obviously I can miss winners being price led but I believe it pays long term. Good Luck with yours.;)
