  1. Re: Ante Post Jumps Thread 2011-2012

Wouldn't be a problem once bets are taken' date=' but will be a bit of after-eventing. I'm already in on 20 races and the prices are long gone. For example Arkle I have Sacre, Al and Cue (saver) all at double figure prices. It will look like bragging, prefer not to :)[/quote'] Yeh just your general opinion on the races at cheltenham would be appreciated mate, don't have to advise to bet. I just like having a second opinion before I go rushing in with my 'hard-earned' money. But no worries if not! And if I had sacre at double figure prices I would be shouting from the rooftops nevermind a bit of bragging!
  2. Re: Ante Post Jumps Thread 2011-2012

I would've backed Al Ferof EW when he was 4/1 and 1/4 places. Now that one has gone, I don't see a bet in the race. Probably back something at PP and if SS wins you get your money back, but the Arkle has always been an antepost race. You pick a novice or two and you go early, because on the day there aren't many surprises and the best novice chasers are at the top of the market a known quantity. As for tipping I would've loved to, but I'm betting with other people's money now, so can't.
Oh right - people paying for the service now then? You won't be putting any selections at all up next week then? Just if not I better get studying the form earlier than I would've done!!
  3. Re: Ante Post Jumps Thread 2011-2012

I'm not surprised they switched to Jewson. He knows he will get thumped by Spritner Sacre. There was nothing wrong with PC at Kempton' date=' he just couldn't live with SS jumping at speed. Al Ferof ain't bad either.[/quote'] Mileni I have a lot of time for your opinion on horses, you always seem to have a good logic when picking your selections. With that being said, as a betting race now what would you be doing with the arkle? Leaving it alone? My fancy like yourself is Sprinter Sacre - but missed the price a long time ago and now am struggling to justify backing at such short odds. But what can you do?! I don't want to put a pathetic each way bet on something else for sacre to then win by 6 lengths Also where will you be placing your daily selections over cheltenham?
  4. Re: Inside Info! Had a tip for Planet Queen in the 2.10 at Hamilton. Not 100% sure of the source as my uncle rang me and told me about it whos big into horses. I know he will have got it from somewhere but would back fairly cautiously.

Bookmaker/PriceBetfred @ 11 (Back) Dropped in class for this race and LTO ran on to get 5th in competitive Wolverhampton race. Although this trip shorter he should come on for the run with J L Dunlop tuning him up.
  6. Re: Inside Info / Hot Tips... Just received a phone call from an old friend who is involved with the Transcend Bloodstock LLP, who own many horses. Told me to get on Opal Noir tomorrow in the 4.50 at Ayr, which is one of the horses they own. He said they are expecting a big run from this horse tomorrow as long as the ground doesnt get too soft. He always speaks over favourably about the horses he owns, but did seem pretty keen about this one and said it should go off around 7's or 8's. Make of it what you will just thought I'd pass it on as I am going to put faith in him.:ok :hope

  7. Re: Ludlow 21/02/07 Sunday City 16:00 Ludlow I never usually like to go against a Walsh/Nicholls favourite however I feel if theres anything to overturn that it will be Sunday City. I saw it in soft conditions 2 runs ago and it put up a deasent show in 3rd, likewise in its last run. I think with a bit of improvement it will have a good chance at around 6/1.

  8. Re: Lingfield 21/02/07 I think there is a bit of value to be found in the 16:10 at Lingfield with Swift Thyne. Swift Thyne is the only horse proven over the distance in this race and as we saw yesterday over 3m or so and in the mud many horses find nothing towards the end. Under Sam Thomas and at around 12/1 I think it has a good e/w chance.

  9. Re: wednesday lay of the day I agree with the Prince Vector lay. However my choice tomorrow is Cool Sands in 16:50 at Wolverhampton. Whenever it has been at this weight previously it has failed to do anything. I think it will run its race this time under Dane O'Neill but I will be shocked if it manages to get its head infront.

  10. Re: Wolverhampton 21/02/07 Haroldini 16:50 Wolverhampton I think this horse has got a great chance, beat Green Pirate by a short head three runs ago and I have followed it closely since. I cannot see cool sands winning this and I think my selection at around 10s could cause an upset.

ReasoningIn what looks a tough race I'm goin with Show Me The Lolly as a bit of value. I think it will go off at aroud 6/1 and I think if it can repeat the form it showed a couple of runs back it will have the winning of this. A great jockey on board in Duran Fentiman and with a five pound claimer over the extended mile I think he has a good e/w shout.
  12. Re: Southwell 20/02/07 :ok

Had the following in the placepot: Bolckow Mister Incredible Rann Na Cille Sister Etienne Jazrawy Nimello Thought great stuff, a few fav's turned over, nice return. :clap It only pays under £20 :wall :$
I know exactly what you mean mate sometimes placepot pay outs leave me baffled, great picks though.:ok
  13. Re: Tuesdays bankers

i have one banker for tomorrow silver sister in the 2 40 at taunton.GET ON IT! this is not based on gut feeling and the 68 day lay off isn't a barrier in my opinion. with leighton aspell on board at around 12/1 this is backable.
you questioned my use of the term banker and i did apologise. However this was my pick of the day and it duely won at 11/1.
  14. Re: Taunton 20/02/07 Dancewiththedevil 15:10 Taunton A real e/w chance. Making its chase debut but i think it will be worth siding with the bottom weight at a deasent price. A tough race but Noel Fehily has a deasent record here and at a good price it is backable.

  15. Re: Southwell 20/02/07 13:30 Southwell Bolckow Forgiving the recent run one of the few horses in this race with any real credentials. With it being a course and distance winner and a very able jockey on board I would back this at 5/1 or higher. 17:00 Southwell Rosa de mi corazon I agree with mowgli looking at this race there is only one winner, the above horse. I am of the opinion that barring a freak accident this horse will win.:hope

  16. Re: Tuesdays bankers

Hardly a banker though is it, one you'd risk everything for. I think you need to have a look at the Banker Rules before posting buddy, :welcome by the way.
yeah maybe my use of the term banker is a bit loose, apologies. This horse is by no means a banker(something you'd risk everything for). However i do think it has a great chance and will definitly be placed. Have you got any tips for tomorrow?
