San Francisco will send Tim Lincecum to the hill, and while he may be a 2 time NL Cy Young award winner, it is hard to trust what you are going to get from him in recent seasons. Lincecum has pitched well lately but has historically struggled against the Reds having been defeated every time he has faced them with an ERA approaching double figures. Cueto has been solid against the Giants with a sub 2 ERA over 5 career starts and this Giants offensive lineup is as hard to trust for output as in years gone past, arguably worse without Sandoval. He is 0-7 with an ERA over 6 in starts since last season began and has been hit hard with an 11.05 ERA in his two starts this season both against Toronto, this Yankees lineup works deep into counts and can hit the ball out the yard just as well as the Jays and it could be a short night for Ramirez again as mistakes could well be punished. Chase Whitley pitched five innings allowing a sibgle run as Chase Whitley won his first start this year against the Rays, he has been solid if unspectacular with a 1-1 3.06 season record but I anticipate that could be plenty sufficient tonight 6 pts Seattle Mariners (-1.5) to beat Boston Red Sox 2.63 Skybet 3 pts Seattle Mariners (-3.5) to beat Boston Red Sox 5.00 Skybet Roenis Elias is a pitcher who lives and dies by the home run, he has struggled the last twice, however back at pitcher friendly Safeco it may well be a different story as he faces a Red Sox club he hasnt faced before. Despite his home run issues his ERA is only 3.86 - Seattlehave lost all three of his starts, though he has only been responsible for the loss on one occasion. Joe Kellyis up for Boston and he was superb on his debut for the Red Sox this year and has been plain awful since, he has allowed 5+ runs in 4 straight starts and while this Seattle lineup isnt the most fearsome it does have Robison Cano and the reigning home run king and current season leader Nelson Cruz at its heart so it is certainly capable of scoring runs. Boston historically struggle on the left coast and I see no reason for those struggles to stop in this game thats my lot folks fingers crossed and best of luck

I am always a little hesitant to trust the Cardinals to score the necessary runs, that said Trevor Bauer who pitches for the Tribe tonight has been fairly poor at home this year with a 6.75 ERA in Cleveland and allowed 5 runs last time out against Minnesota. 4 pts Philadelphia Philles to beat Pittsburgh Pirates 2.10 Skybet 2 pts Philadelphia Phillies (-1.5) to beat Pittsburgh Pirates 3.00 Skybet I again struggle to trust the Phillies offense or Aaron Harang on the hill fully. That being said Haranh has pitched well and Vance Worley will return to Philadelphia to pitch for the Pirates. If Worleys control issues continue and he walks enough batters today and Harang can continue being solid at home with a 0.84 ERA this season then its enough to make these plays Sorry for brief reasoning but only a half hour break at work. Thats my lot for the early starts and will look at the rest later

Re: MLB 2015 Season - Match Betting 4 pts Chicago White Sox to beat Milwaukee Brewers 2.05 Bet365 I am a long time defender of Jose Quintana who I believe to be hugely underrated. He has been solid since the "Disaster in Detroit" but has suffered from a lack of offensive output. I am quietly optimistic that the bats of my Sox are starting to turn things around and I think there are opportunities to score against Jimmy Nelson who will start for Milwaukee tonight. In his defence he has pitched well at home until his last start against the Cubs this season. That is a vast improvement from the 1-6 record with the 5.47 ERA at Miller Park that he brought into this season. I have seen sustained periods of consistency from Quintana over the last couple of seasons, I dont trust Nelson and at odds against the Sox are worth a punt there were a few other close plays, st louis and the mets and the over in detroit but I think i will leave it at this good luck all

He has allowed 7 runs in each of his starts against Toronto this year, he has lost his last three straight against anyone and this lineup can crush you if you make mistakes. My old favourite Mark Buehrle will pitch for Toronto and he has been far below his best level thus far but showed signs of improvement against a Yankees lineup that has historically given him fits throughout his career last time out. They have struggled against the Twins and Kyle Gibson who pitches tonight has struggled in particular. He has gone 1-3 his last 4 against Detroit with a 7.48 ERA!!!, he doesnt strike many hitters out and this lineup of Detroit is excellent at working the count and taking the free pass if its given. Alfredo Simon has struggled his last two after a strong start and there is little history against the Twins, but I feel the pitching advantage for Detroit is slight and the batting lineup is vastly superior and I am taking them to get the win over a division rival at Comerica tonight. couldnt put anyone off the Angels, I may yet come back in on that one, the Mets tempted me and the White Sox are also calling me at almost 2.00 with Sale pitching and also Washington......may be back with more lol EDIT: I AM LEAVING IT AT THAT FOR THE NIGHT good luck all

Max Scherzer is a vastly superior pitcher to Josh Collmenter. The Nats lineup has started to score runs , if we forgive Scherzers last start, he had a 1.29 ERA prior to that Collmenter has allowed 11 runs in losing 3 of 4 starts at home. The heart of the D-backs lineup makes me nervous but I am going to make the play as the Nats have been finding ways to win the last week behind early NL MVP candidate Bryce Harper. Was also tempted by overs in the Milwaukee v White Sox game but cannot trust the Chicago offense enough to play that one that is definitely my lot Good luck all

He has handled the heart of this jays lineup well with only Encarnacion getting close to decent performance and even he is below .250 with Donaldson and Bautista really struggling to see the ball when Ubaldo hurls it. We opposed Marco Estrada last time against the Yankees and just like last season we will look to cash in while the opportunity presents itself as there are plenty of hitters in this Baltimore lineup who can go deep and Estrada has that habit of giving up the long ball. I look for Estrada to struggle again and an easy Orioles victory tonight. 5 pts Chicago Cubs (-1.5) to beat New York Mets 2.45 Bet365 Jon Lester appears to be working out the friendly confines and is starting to pitch like the man the Cubs paid the cash for allowing just a single run in a pair of 7 inning starts thus far in May. Jacob deGrom the NL rookie phenom from last season is up for the Mets, who have been somewhat scuffling offensively in recent games. deGrom struggled allowing 4 runs in 5 innings against the Cubs last season in his only stat against Chicago. He will need to be better facing off against Lester if his form continues. With the bleachers re opening at Wrigley tonight the atmosphere should return to the Cubbies and I think there is a touch of value with Lester on the hill here - sorry Pete!!! 10 pts Los Angeles Dodgers (-1.5) to beat Miami Marlins 2.05 Ladbrokes 3 pts Los Angeles Dodgers (-3.5) to beat Miami Marlins 4.10 Bet365 Greinke continues to roll against the National League. It is 14 starts since his last loss and he has a 1.99 ERA in those starts, he is 5-0 this year and hasnt lost in his 5 starts against Miami for his career. The Dodgers have lost only 2 of their last ten games and are amongst the runs. Tom Koehler will pitch in opposition for the Marlins, he has started twice at Dodgers Stadium and been soundly beaten on both occasions with a 6.23 ERA. He has massively struggled on the road this year and has an 8.59 ERA across three starts. Hard to see anything other than a comfortable Dodgers win here 5 pts Pittsburgh Pirates (-1.5) to beat Philadelphia Phillies 2.00 Skybet Gerrit Cole is another pitcher on a tear on the road. He has been pitching well in general and was a relativley unlucky loser last tine out as the Bucs went down 3-0 against the Reds, you dont win many with no runs scored. Prior to that he was 8-0 in 10 starts. He sits at 4-0 2.33 in 6 road starts and Pittsburgh have tasted success in recent times against Philadelphia. I went big against Williams in his first start against Washington and bot burned, I stand by my opinion that he is not up to it as a Major league pitcher and the cracks are beginning to show after he got hit for six runs against Atlanta last time out. Felix Hernandez, I had some doubts about him coming in to this year as there were a few metrics that suggested this incredible arm could go the way of the indestructable Verlander. It would appear I was incorrect in that assessment and I have seen enough that I am willing to admit it and put my money where my mouth is. Hernandez is 5-0 for a start with a 1.73 ERA which drops to an incredible 0.78 at home. The Athletics have posed him few problems (not many have to be honest in his career) Jesse Chavez will oppose for Oakland and he has pitched well enough not doing too much wrong, he is not however in the same league as Felix and in his starts against Seattle has yet to earn the W and has a 4.15 ERA in 3 starts. The Mariners are tricky to get right but when MLB's home run leader Nelson Cruz hits and Cano backs him up then they can score runs and both have had some success against the visitor tonight. I have always liked Chris Young dating back to the San Diego days, his main issues seem to have been health down the years, when he is healthy he is a pitcher to have on side. the 6 ft 10 right hander has transitioned more into a relief role in recent years but will get the start tonight and the plane on his pitches from the angle created by his height has always caused hitters problems when he has his fastball going. He pitched 5 innings without giving up a hit his last time against these Tigers at the beginning of the month. Shane Greene will oppose for Detroit and its all gone a little wrong since a strong start to the season, he has allowed 20 runs his last 11 innings across 3 starts. He was a loser against the Royals allowing 2 unearned runs in his only career start but he needs to figure it out quick. Again I dont like taking a road team in a nationally televised game but if Young pitches 5 good innings its hard to see the Tigers getting the win for me here Best of luck all

Harang, who I am not a fan of has pitched solid and has a 1.04 ERA in his last 4 against teh Mets who have been struggling to trouble the scoreboard. It is a well documented fact that the Phillies offense is lightweight when it comes to scoring power, a former top unit in the league became old quickly and all pieces with value bar Chase Utley were traded in part of a semi rebuild. Jon Niese who I am a fan of (expensive to follow remember!!) will pitch tonight and he has dominated Philadelphia with a 1.87 ERA while going 4-0 his last six against the Phillies. Anibal Sanchez has won 5 straight against the Royals and has a 1.40 ERA over 8 career starts against Kansas City - this drops to 0.77 at Comerica Park. Jeremy Guthrie has been allowing far too many baserunners and there are a number of hitters, particularly the heart of this lineup that will work the count and punish mistakes. Guthrie has allowed 4+ in 4 of 5 starts. The potential loss of Alex Avila is a slight worry for the Tigers but I wholeheartedly believe this Tigers team is the better team and will win here tonight - lets hope its not a single run this time!! 4 pts Washington Nationals (-1.5) to beat Atlanta Braves 2.50 Bet365 2 pts Washington Nationals (-3.5) to beat Atlanta Braves 4.00 Bet365 Tha Nats offense, and Bryce Harper have finally come to play. With the way these teams are trending particularly on offense it is a reasonable expectation for a Nationals victory

He enjoys success against the Royals, 2-0 in 5 appearances with a 1.16 ERA. The Royals are a good side, but Yordano Ventura is getting a reputation as a dirty player so he will need to make sure he isnt hitting any batters and is conducting his business the right way after the brawl he sparked against the White Sox - he is returning from suspension tonight.
