    Gauff vs Bencic

I am going to keep this simple because I do not want my chain of thoughts to be derailed by trying to think of a reason for this pick. This pick is for those who have been on the journey of this tournament from the start and who should be thinking like me here. Bencic to win here large. Gauff has already played four 3 setters in a row. I dare her a win here. Large stakes recommended. 9/10

I totally agree here . Bencic has been playing real good and has yet to drop a set.  IMO Gauff shouldn’t have won yesterday I think it was more of a meltdown from Rogers even up a break on the second set until she went gassed out.  I know Gauff is 16 but so many minutes and sets played will cost her. Not sure if her father is the right way for her to continue and I’m sure good things we can expect from her on the future but I believe this is the end of the road on this tournament.

Am I the only one who thinks that Dimitrov can reach the final here? It's paid around 5.50 in my local bookies. Karatsev run surely has to come to a end..he's lacking both routine and experience at this stage, and conditions are very favorable to Grigor's game. He's obviously enjoying them a lot. Plus,he was already in this stage of the Grand Slam,so probably won't be nervous as his opponent.
And also,by the look of things, neither Zverev nor Djokovic are playing best tennis at the moment, plus they both have similar stomach muscle injuries..

    Any opinion?

Personally I don’t agree . karatsev seems to be very aggressive . Not saying he has a shot of winning this but IMO is n that Dimitrov played well  it was more of Thiem having an horrendous day and lack of energy or sleep. Something was definitely not right with him. Dimitrov’s game didn’t impress me much to be quite honest.

At her top level, she's more than up to the task. Unfortunately, I can't back her in a match like this because of the niggling doubt that the UE machine version of Sabalenka is the one that shows up - especially against a legend like Serena. It's only fair to qualify that though by saying that UE Sabalenka is a rarer and rarer sight these days, and she's had some really good winning runs and beaten all the top players at the same time.

The blueprint for beating this version of Serena was set a long time ago now, so if Sabalenka can move her around the court with powerful, accurate strokes she'll have every chance - and she certainly has the power.

Her match against Ann Li was lights out. Kinda wonder if she can carry the momentum.

Well, it's shocking honestly. It's not even a player who tested positive. What's going to happen if this comes up during the Grand Slam? Just have no spectators and let the thing run ffs.

Agree !! I think Australia got cocky. I was reading they have an average of 2-3 cases a day on the whole country! They obviously doing pretty good regarding the pandemic but then again, we all have seen the games and they are in huge attendance  of fans with no masks and I’m guessing AO would be even more attendees.

Garbiñe Muguruza (-4,5 Games) to beat Alison Van Uytvanck at 1.83 with bet365

Last one. Muguruza's 2020 was impressive. She ended with a 23-7 record, including a Final in the AO, beating Svitolina, Bertens Pavlyuchenkova and Halep, all of them in straight sets. She started well this year, destroying Mladenovic (6-2, 6-4) and Sasnovich (6-1, 6-4), and lost in the third round against one of the most in form players righ now, Sakkari (5-7, 4-6). IMO the return of Conchita and her new mentality makes her a clear candidate to win everything here. Van Uytvanck is not at her best. She ended 2020 with a negative record (9-12). She has never achieved good results in Australia. In 2020, she was destroyed by Ferro (2-6, 1-6) in the AO, in the 1st round. She never has won a match in the AO or even a set (7 consecutive defeats by 2-0) and she has some big loses as a double 6-0 (vs Azarenka). As I said, looks like she never liked Australia conditions... I think this is one of those matches where the spaniard destroys her opponent, letting her with only 1-5 games won.

I agree 1000% with your point of view. My only concern would be how much is she really Into the Yarra Valley for I would think she has her mind set at AO.

And, I forgot to add, the French Open was also scheduled far too soon after the ending of another Grand Slam, on a different continent, and on a different surface.

I agree on your thoughts , but you can’t deny that others Slams and big tournament’s have already been played. All other sports have resumed and they are taking their measurements. NBA did great on the Bubble and quarantine of the players.  It shouldn’t be this hard to test them all and isolate them. The problem I see is they are big on the idea of having some  fans in attendance and that’s were things get complicated.

  7. So Thiem is already qualified and Rublev is out regardless of the outcome. Although is a nice money prize for an undefeated champion and I would imagine Thiem , specially on his form  will not get into a very physical game but go strong on his serve points. Can’t imagine we would like to get into a 3 sets match and would try to avoid get that tired.

I also agree on the over from the Nadal match, even if it’s on 2 sets I believe the over hit with at least 1 TB.
