You can C/O 50%+or- of your stake but an easier way is to split your stakes in half and put the bet on twice.

The wife's been away this week so I was able to chill out with just me and the dog to watch it
I do enjoy the challenge of the big handicaps and had a 20/1 winner and a 100/1 place (6th) so came out on top which probably makes all the difference
Enjoyed watching the champion hurdle and gold cup but the rest seemed very average
Definitely over hyped

I must be getting old or jaded or both but I just couldn't get enthusiastic for the Festival this year ...... I didn't bother watching the handicaps or the cross country or Hunters ....... basically I just tuned in for the grade one championship and top novice races and avoided all the pre, post and inter race chat
Which is what I do on a normal Saturday ............ 
Does anyone think that with all the handicaps, mares races, cross country, Hunters ....... it's just becoming a normal meeting with a few top races just like a regular weekend fixture at Ascot or Newbury
And I get very fed up with the marketing men, media and bookies trying to plug the Ireland v UK angle ...... does anyone care where the horses are trained ? ........... does anyone jump up and down when the Brits win  a handicap ? .......... I couldn't care less where the trainer is based

Im with you last year i did well from a few quirky bets this year up to now has been rubbish did okish on day one downhill since, my big bet (200) on shishkin was the obvious bummer as i got 7/1, even the second on my richards bet at hexham got nobbed on the line at 11/1 so about 300 quid down with one day to go and to be honest looking at tomorrow i think a pullback of stakes is in order. i seem to be on a bad run. Backed royale pagaille last month at 50/1 its still 50/1, ground has come good but as yet venetia hasnt. I have accumulated a good few small bets about 50 quids worth on Corach Rambler for the GNational since january at 20/1 and thats now fav so fingers crossed. cant wait for the flat to get going meydan next week is a big day so i hope my luck kicks back in by then.
