Medvedev looked fed up just before the end of the first set. After that it was like he just expected Simon to return everything and he slowly died out.

halep - rybakina on the other side. What a match!
Night and day with the match against bertens - although halep May be a better matchup for her.

will be siding with rybakina A lot in the future weeks !

Jabeur has just been more and more solid. Just a little more consistency and better serve and she might climb to top 20. I would have never thought she could be capable of that to be honnest.

    Small multi for tonight:
Karolina Pliskova to win, Anett Kontaveit to win @ 2.21 bet365
    ;
I agree with Darko re Pliskova vs Rybakina, Rybakina has been excellent but not good enough yet to trouble elite players.
Last week she was just obliterated by Bertens. Her return game is just not good enough yet to trouble big servers. With that in mind, I think it will be extremely unlikely for her to find enough break points to trouble Pliskova.
I do feel that a game is coming where she will be able to create something against better players, which is why I am only taking a straight win.
    ;
I have backed Martic in the last two rounds and I haven't found the wins as easy as the score reflects. Especially considering that Hsieh has been transparent this season, and strycova won an extremely tight match vs a 50% Anisimova
Martic had to face many break points (over 1.33 BP faced per game in average so far) against these not in form/lower players. A better player will punish her - no matter how good her serve can be.
Not much to say on Kontaveit side. Her win against resurgent Pavlyuencha was by no mean an easy win. But I believe this is more of a testimony to current Pavlyuencha level than anything else. Kontaveit service has been pretty solid.

Jiri Vesely to beat Brandon Nakashima at 1.75 with Parions Sport
It will be the 1st time between these two players. You have to go back to 2014 to see Vesely participate this ATP 250 in Delray Beach. The Czech failed to pass the 1st round (3-set loss to Baghdatis). Nakashima will play this tournament for the 1st time in his career.
Nakashima, 295th in the world, received an invitation from the organizers. This 18-year-old American is starting to be talked about in the Challengers. He notably managed to beat Harrison and Tomic in Dallas earlier this month, and take a set from Tiafoe in the same tournament. Well, they are indeed 3 players far from their best level, but still. Vesely is the logical favorite to win this meeting. It must be said that he came out of an excellent tournament in Pune (he lifted the trophy) which allowed him to build up confidence.
However, it is important not to underestimate his opponent of the day. Nakashima seems to be very receptive to public support. Playing at home should therefore allow him to play transcended. The guy has a good 1st ball and an aggressive forehand that could tickle Vesely's sometimes feverish backhand when he plays it crossed (Vesely is left-handed). We must also highlight the fact that the American knows how to be regular in trade, which could well crack the Czech more than once (Vesely is indeed led to make a lot of mistakes when he is not in a good day). Now, I think Vesely will manage to make the necessary efforts to get out of this trap. His power will no doubt have a role to play in this meeting. Nakashima can have difficulties when the balls are fast, and the current 72nd should be able to play on that to gain many points. Experience should do the rest.

    WTA Dubai
Kristina Mladenovic - Polona Hercog [email protected] pinnacle /flat 10u/

Mladenovic really likes to play in Dubai. She was in the semifinals in the 100k ITF in december, where she was robbed by refs and couldnt keep calm mind after that and lost with Snigur. The way she won both rounds here against Paolini and Kasatkina was impressive. Especially against Daria, you need to play lot of winners and with confidence.

Hercog improved a lot last year, but I still dont like her game so much. She has always lot of problems with smart opponents. Here she had really easy draw with You and Han, still she lost 5 times her serv and won mostly due to asians weaker serv and game.

I believe Polona wont like this matchup, as Mladenovic is changing the pace of the game and will make her run a lot. Moreover Kiki seems in solid form and she really likes it here. Last year she won Osaka here and reached the last 16. Current odds are simply too high. GL

    Linette to beat Tig 1.5 @ bet365
I know the odds are pretty low but I’ve watched the last 2 rounds of each players and Tig’s level is pretty shocking.
Linette has had a slow start the last 2 matches - so hard to take a 2-0 win - but she should still win comfortably.

I'm surprised nobody is playing Thiem outright or on the handicaps (or both) against Nadal. He's got the better of the Spaniard on clay in each of the last two seasons, and in both of those years Nadal was playing much better than he is now. That's reflected in the prices of course, but even so based on how Nadal played in Monaco and also here I think you'd have to be brave to back him to win with any confidence. At the same time though, I'm not keen to back Thiem despite his previous successes against Nadal and it's a big no-bet for me.
One bet I do like is Kontaveit to beat Osaka. The Estonian managed to outlast an increasingly fragile Vika, whilst Osaka came back from the brink against Vekic. I noted the comments posted about Osaka's mental strength and obviously tennis betting is all about opinions but that's not the Osaka I know, or even the Osaka Osaka knows from things I've read - I'm sure she'd be the first to say that she isn't the most stable emotionally. Anyway, putting all of that to one side the main reason I want to back Kontaveit is that she has a far better record on clay than Osaka does and so I don't think she should be such a heavy dog in this one, despite Osaka leading the h2h (none of their previous meetings have been on clay). I took an early price of 2.55 at Betfair which has now been cut, but even at a general 2.25 I'd say that's fair.

I also think that Ramos has a good chance here.  OK, Medvedev had a great week in Monte Carlo but eventually failed at the most important moment against Layovic. We know poor Medvedev's performance on clay, it seems to me that his good game last week is rather an exception and I expect to lose in the first rounds.  I expect victory for Grigor Dimitrov, Verdasco is not in good shape and I do not think he has a chance here.  Dimitrov played awesome 1st set against Nadal and would win against any player other than Rafa. The Bulgarian already lost a lot of points last week, and now has to defend the quarterfinals from last year.

Fabio Fognini to beat Borna Coric at 2.38
I really don't think Fabios run is over just yet. He's found some mental fortitude and if it sticks with him Borna could be in trouble. Fabio really wants to have a shot at Rafa if he beats Guido Pella who today is really pushing Rafa.
Marcos Giron to beat Sebastian Korda at 1.56
Marcos has proven this season time and time again how good he's become. He won his first challenger title, qualified for Acapulco, pushed Milos Raonic in Indian Wells. Enough for me to back him against the youngster Seb Korda who last match only beat Aleksandar Vukic to reach the quarter and that's not a hard opponent. Marcos has impressed in Sarasota. Last match he beat Henri Laaksonen and that's pretty good on challenger level on clay. It shows Marcos has what it takes to reach the semifinal.

Lajovic v Sonego - Lajovic to win @ 1.67 with Sportingbet
Sonego has lost all the QFs he has played this year and this will be the first time he will be playing a quality opponent who isn't injured or in bad form this tournament. To beat Thiem on clay is a good achievement and I expect Lajovic to continue his run here.

Well, Coric does have a better return than Verdasco and arguably even Nishikori right now, but Herbert has been playing well, so certainly has what it takes to win a set. Certainly wouldn't want to put you off, Coric isn't waterproof by any stretch of imagination.

Jung breaks in the very first game and then his shots start going wrong, just not my couple of days I guess.
Attila Balasz to beat Pedro Sousa at 2.64 with Pinnacle
Risking a hattrick of losses here, but I think that there is some value in backing Balasz, who's always been one of the more talented players. Not fit and not healthy most of the time, but really good when on song. He does seem to be on song this week, having won 4 sets in a row, while Sousa dropped a set against a weaker player in the first round. Balasz beat Sousa last year in a team event and, while I don't think he should be the favourite here, I think that he should be only 2.15 sort of an underdog.

Wells covers the handicap atleast. Haotian loses, but Georgiou wins. More important James Cahill hits a 25/1 winner as he beats Judge and wins group 13.

Zverev was searching for some match practice before he have to defend his points in rome, madrid and paris. Thats why he asked for a WC in marrakesh.
In the Munar-match his forehand was pretty bad and it looked like he did not know how to use it against munar. i think for zverev its a though one against F2A and its hard to find a bet pre-game. Felix played well against londero but this guy cant be compared to the german. felix made too much mistakes and his second serve was pretty useless. if zverev finds his forehand and serves well he will be the clear favourite here.

Last week Verdasco played horrible against Menendez-Maceiras. Many UEs, weak serve after the early games in first set and he got a bad body language. Maybe he will be more motivated in MC because its a bigger tournament with more points and money...he lead 3-0 against Herbert and he stil got a chance here. Maybe its an over game, but who realy knows...

    Challenger: Anning
Sasi Kumar Mukund vs. Yan Bai @2.81 Pinnacle 5/10
Bai has a good record in Anning on clay: 2019 he reached a semifinal at the ITF tour, in 2018 he won F13 tournament in Anning aswell and he also reached the qf.at the Challenger in 2018. Overall 28-14 record in Anning over the years. So he should know the conditions pretty well. According to my sources he prepared for the tournament whole last week, training on clay in Anning. On the other side Mukund played in Taipei last week on indoor hard, he has to translate to clay and didn't play on clay since June 2018. Furthermore Bai is leading the H2H 2-0 with two clear wins on Hardcourt (62 61 and 63 63). I like Bai as an underdog here at home on clay.
