Duke of Haather 6:40 Chester (7/1). Bet365 a coupe of points bigger than elsewhere, so I'm taking some. Might have won here last time if he wasn't blocked coming into the home turn, that still wasn't a great run in a race he should have been winning. Hopefully the blinkers do the trick here.
    1pt win 7/1
Looked to be tanking along but nearly didn't get a gap, but just got though to win 🤑

Exactly backed into 11/10 from 12/1 in the first at Leopardstown, they might be expecting some improvement!

2 winners yesterday including Sir Garfield at 11.00.
That makes it seven winning days in a row and takes the profit past the century mark.
Total now 51 wins from 215 runs, profit 103.34

Yeah I think because of ground ...I'm kinda glad tbh cos it's gone quite soft .......sergeant wilko will like the ground and has been well backed but the others don't like soft either ....I think your ...TROPICAL ISLAND.. looks the most likely other to run their race so I'll go Ew on that one as a replacement

It was quite a decent seller that J Street contested last time after previously running in two quite hot races, one a Class 2 Conditions Race and before that she was 4th in a Class 2 Miaden at Beverley, she would probably have won that seller but for hanging right in the final furlong, the winner went on to win a class 2 Novices and is now rated 77 and the 3rd that day came out to win a Musselburgh maiden. Currently drifitng at around 3.9 on betfair.......WON nicely.

    3.40 Yarmouth.
Meet Me In The Meraki, his last two contested races have thrown up numeruous winners, wasnt beaten far over shorter last time out when hampered a little going into the final furlong and was running on and nearest at the finish suggesting the extra 2 furlongs of todays race will suite just fine. The winner went on to win again and two others from that race were next time out victors. In his previous race, finishing 6th, four of the five in front of him went on to win next time out. Currently 13/2 and about the same on betfair at a slightly driftng 7.8, win and place bet.......unplaced
    6.50 Ffos Las.
Neither the current form of the jockey or the trainer inspire confidence for this one so its all down to the horse! Zambezi Magic is the horse in question. All three of the geldings wins have come on turf with two of them over this course and distance. His winning marks in those victories were 67 and 63, poor form snce has seen his mark reduced to todays all time low of 47. Baeten 4 lengths last time over two furlong shorter was a decent performance in the light of his recent poor form and but for a poor start may well have been closer, back up to 10 furlongs today may see him in a better light. There is alittle bit of money around for him, 12 on the exchanges and hopefully around 3.4 tp place.........Non runner

Good luck whatever you back or lay today.

Newmarket 1.50 With the defection of Kinesiology we have just four runners in the first of just four races covered by the ITV cameras in the Group 3 1M 5F Bahrain Trophy Stakes for three year olds only. The warm favourite and most likely winner is the Godolphin colt Ancient Wisdom who will love the soft ground having won twice in the mud last autumn. This season started with a respectable second spot in the Dante at York behind Economics before a very disappointing eighth of 16 in the Epsom Derby when stepped up in trip. On official ratings he’s rated 6lb and more better than his three rivals and anything over Evens looks worth a bet. Space Legend had Royal Supremacy just under 2L behind when runner up in the King Edward VII Stakes at Royal Ascot and having won his maiden earlier in the season on soft ground can confirm that form and chase home Ancient Wisdom.   ANCIENT WISDOM 2 points win @ 11/10 bet365   ANCIENT WISDOM & HAMISH 1 point win double 11/10 & 6/5 BetVictor   Newmarket 2.25 Another small field of just six have declared for the Group 2 July Stakes run over 6F for two year old colts and geldings. The only horse in the race who has encountered soft ground is the Aidan O’Brien trained favourite Whistlejacket. He was reportedly the O’Brien banker at Royal Ascot following an impressive listed win at The Curragh in May over 5F but was slightly disappointing when only fourth (beaten 1 1/4L) in the Norfolk Stakes when heavily backed going off a shade of odds on. Now upped in trip and back on softer ground he’s worth giving another chance to with Ryan Moore doing the steering. The other five all have to prove they can handle soft ground with potentially Kevin Ryan’s Windsor Castle winner at Royal Ascot Ain’t Nobody the biggest threat to the favourite.   WHISTLEJACK 1 point win @ 7/4 bet365   Newmarket 3.00 Easily the most competitive race of ITV’s quartet of races today is the sixteen runner three year old handicap run over 6F worth £100,000 guaranteed. There’s not too much soft ground form available but one horse that is proven on it is the Richard Fahey trained Tropical Island who won as a juvenile on soft and following a 245 day absence ran a highly promising sixth (beaten 4 1/2L) to James Delight (won listed race last weekend in France) in one of the best three year old sprint handicaps of the season at York last month. He travelled like a dream that day but weakened half a furlong out finishing 1 1/4L behind one of today’s favourites in Elmonjed. That was however his first run of the season and now one pound better off may turn the tables on his rival. He does have a tendency to start slowly so it’ll be fingers crossed when the gates open but he looks good each way value in an open handicap. Best outsider may turn out to be the Roger Varian trained Moswaat who has soft ground form as a juvenile and may outrun his odds.   TROPICAL ISLAND 1 point each way @ 8/1 bet365 1/5th 12345   Newmarket 3.35 Just the six run in the Group 2 Princess Of Wales’s Stakes over 1M 4F. The highest rated in the field is William Haggas’s Hamish who loves soft ground so the recent cloud bursts have been very much in his favour. He arguably ran his best ever race when a one length runner up in the Group 1 Coronation Cup at Epsom at the Derby meeting to Luxembourg and he’ll be a hard one to beat here. Harry Charlton’s Time Lock was behind the selection at Epsom and looks held whilst Yorkshire Cup winner Giavellotto has to shoulder a 3lb penalty for that victory and is dropping in trip. John & Thady Gosden’s Arrest looks the biggest threat to Hamish as he also appears to adore soft ground but was a tad disappointing at Chester last time.   HAMISH 2 points win @ 6/5 BetVictor

My enthusiasm has been well and truly dampened! Not even looked at the hat-trick odds 😂 Mbappe been poor last twice and even asked to come off before the 2nd half of extra time. My only bets this tournament have been on him, one of the reasons I haven't really enjoyed this Euro's.

I've only gone and bought another share of a horse, only having the two. I wanted one over the jumps so had nose around and found this horse.
DancingOnTheEdge was due to run last Friday so I thought I'd wait and see how she ran. Well all I can say is watch the race and you'll see why I bought a share. Gonna have fun with this one. She's down to run again this coming Sunday.

A couple of thoughts on tonight's game. Hills go evens for a Mbappe SoT to max tenner stakes. Worth taking if you like the idea of getting evens for something that looks more like a 1.7 shot. By no means a cert (though @yossa6133 may feel differently if his enthusiasm hasn't been dampened yet)!
I also had a quick look at the ref, Slavko Vincic. He's very much a "middle band" ref in International games with 9 games seeing <4 cards, 11 4-6 and none >6 (going back 5 seasons). He's shown 5 and 4 yellows in games at this year's Euros. Obviously a lot at stake in a semi final but it would be hard to commit to an ambitious overs bet here. Not sure I'll back it but 5/4 for 4-6 cards is tempting with Hills. (A market I had some joy with for a while before admitting defeat. I definitely think some ref's would be profitable to follow as "middlers" on that line if you were willing to do your home work.) SX go 41-45 for bookings points.

Lord Accord 6:05 Uttox (16/1 Betbet365). Taken some of the early 16/1 in case it shortens. Had a poor season last time but well handicapped as a result, as high as 137 over fences and runs off 118 here  back over hurdles(C/D winner off 128 back in '21). Ran well after a similar break at Worcester in Sept'22 when 3rd behind 2 decent yardsticks. Fingers crossed he can have a bit of a revival on favoured ground/trip off this reduced mark.
