Stanley Pincombe 2:00 Exeter (e/w with Skybet 12/1 6places). This looks wide open, I've just gone for the jockey as she's done well pointing and ridden a few winners under rules as well (couple for Chris Gordon). Horse seems fairly well handicapped and could benefit from a bit of a break. Worth a try with Skybet paying 6 places.
0.5pts e/w with Skybet 12/1.
Looked to have a big chance jumping the last but not to be, winner off for 493 days 🙃

John Ryan has brought over 2 horses to Plumpton from Tipperary (it's a long way), presumably they are expecting one or both of them to win.
Flidais 2:15 10/3
Highland Sting 2:45 9/2
I've just done 0.5pts win on Flidais 10/3.
German fav won easily.

Going for Watford, just waiting to place my bet as they are currently drifting out (currently around 1.85, hopefully get 1.90 or more).
Sheffield Wednesday have a new manager, so might improve but I want to keep opposing them until they get a result. Watford have underperformed so far but they should have beaten Cardiff away last time and this is easier.

Heross Du Seuil 1:20 Carlisle (5/1). Well backed when winning at Uttox and should have followed up at Southwell when a fast finisher took him by surprise. Still well handicapped judged on his juvenile ability. Think he holds Saccohandvanzetti on their Uttoxeter run and Kingston Bridge would have to improve after a break.
Might cover my stake on Finsk River whose jockey takes off a very useful 8lb.
1pt win 5/1
Ran well until getting tired after 2 out, but was never beating the gambled on winner.

My Chiquita 1:53 Wetherby (2/1 Bet365). Good hurdles debut and should improve, so sets a fair standard for the Jonjo one to aim at and has been strong in the market.
1pt win 2/1.
wins 🤑 fav got the last badly wrong but will obviously be winning soon.

aahhhh i know the feeling very well 😐 { on a slightly differnt vane some 20 odd years ago i had a five timer up should have paid abt 325k and would have
had i placed it in either the hill"s or coral shop i normaly used in the high st but on the saturday in queistion i popped into the star bookmakers shop accross
the road from them i go paid 50k as they had a limit in fact their limit was 25k but been the good guys bookmakers are the doubled it 😬
£325,000? Jesus. What were the horses odds? Not sure I would ever get over that. 50k better than a slap in the face though.
Most I've ever won was a couple of grand, think I need to try some mad accas this jumps season.

Rock House 2.10 Chepstow (4/1). Might end up looking silly opposing the Nicholl's odds on fav who ran a stormer when 3rd in the Champion Bumper. The Skelton horse couldn't have looked much more impressive at Worcester (3rd franked the form next time). Worth a try with the proven hurdles ability and recent run in his favour and hope that Captain Teague isn't just a levels above.
Disappointing run, seemed well below the Worcester effort.
1pt win 4/1.

Aye Right 1:35 Chepstow (7/2). Should be a good battle with The Brigadier's selection Good Boy Bobby, they are well matched on their Newcastle run a couple of years ago. I just prefer Aye Right as he's the slicker jumper and has been in some good races. Will find this easier and has dropped to a nice mark. Likes to front run which suits here and goes well fresh.
1pt win 7/2.
Well that's tough to take, had the race won jumping the last must have been 1.01 on betfair but just ties up on the run in and gets caught 🤢
I'll try to keep track of my p/l for the ones I post in the racing chat from now on. 0.25 pts to 5 point scale, unless losses get too embarrassing.

I've not been following recently as I've been having a break before the Chepstow meeting tomorrow but Sam's picks are brilliant and I enjoy reading his thoughts on races. I suspect he is winning on the selections he puts up, especially with all the recent big price winners.
If someone is that interested they could go through his selections and come up with a p/l. Either way I don't get the pile on, if you don't like what he's doing just skip over his posts.

Southport saved the day turning it around 🤑

Bet365 have The Brigadier's 3 pt selection Zoulu Chief (2:05 Newmarket) boosted to 7/4 at the moment.

Leeds are probably short enough but I think they will win and I can see them climbing the table from now on.
Stuck them in a double with Sunderland who are flying while Watford have been very in and out (mainly out).
Double pay 2.66 with Bet365.

Sunderland 2.25
West Ham 1.4
Ipswich 1.91
£3.12 win treble (hey big spender)

Sunderland to bt Sheffield Wednesday at around 2.3 looks a good bet to me. I watched Wednesday against Boro and was pretty unimpressed and they are rock bottom of the league for a reason. Sunderland slipped up against Cardiff but before that scored 3,3 and 5 goals so I can forgive one blip.
Bet 365 paid out after 7 mins 🤑 looking like I should have played the handicap too.

They just released a statement saying Hilton is withdrawing funding and they are playing their home games at Gainsborough after the Brackley game. The club have no money so I'd imagine paying the players is going to be a major issue unless a buyer is found sharpish.

I cashed out most of my Scnuthorpe bets. The owner has taken to banning people from the ground (a ground you could argue he is squatting in!) for discussing him on a forum. Apparently the club have multiple CCJ's and winding up orders against them. There's also a screen grab of him calling the fans idiots and that he won't put another penny into the club (that's in the Daily Mail so might not be true).
Shame as they have made a decent start to the season on the whole and showed their potential against Scarborough, but it's all looking a bit too dicey for my liking!
-
Should be decent ground for a change with a dry week forecast. I backed Act Impact when Zilzalian said at 8/1 and have laid it for my stake this week for a free bet. The Japanese one Through Seven Seas finished close to Equinox and I've seen a couple of people giving her a chance at 16/1,

Norwich 2.10

No idea but seen a couple of shrewdies on Twitter going for Ciel De Neige, so I've had a little E/W with Skybet 6 places @ 10/1.
Dreadful.

Frankly I'm amazed and delighted that I won a week 😁 It had to be only the ex Forest players letting me down 😂
