Spiced Rum 2:00 Fos Las (2/1 Bet365). Was bell backed on hurdles debut at Fontwell where she probably pulled away her chance early on, still ran well and looked a certain future winner. Did as well as could be expected against Sir Gino last time. Acts well on heavy (won by 11L on her last flat run on heavy). Gets the very useful weight for age allowance back against mares.
Should win but I can't pick my nose at the moment, so who knows.
This looks a weak race, the 2nd fav is up 6lb for winning by a neck last time, 3rd fav is 10 and pulled up last time and looks high in the weights anyway.
2pts win 2/1 bet365
P/L: -2.9 pts.

Hawaii Du Mestrivel 4:15 Uttox (8/1 bet365). Liked the look of this one on his return from 2 years off at Plumpton, where he was up there for a long time before dropping out quickly. Ran similar at Chepstow and over this CD. 1st run in a handicap and 1st time tongue strap today need to make a difference.
If he could run anywhere near his 2 point to point efforts (close up to 140 types) then he would win this. Could just as easily finish last if the tongue strap doesn't help.
1pt win 8/1 bet365

Probably just isn't very good based on that. Might have another look if they go chasing over 3m.

Just woeful, one of the worst first half performances you could imagine. Looked more like scoring 2nd half but also more like conceding! Some pathetic performances from Forest players.
-
Gone for Forest again, 5/4 Bet365 seems fair enough. Don't like this as much as I did against Blackpool (where they ended up losing a 2 goal lead 🤪) but should still win against a mid-table Championship team. Gibbs-White back on the bench tonight so he can come on and change the game if necessary.

Forest 2.0
Coventry 2.1
Man City 1.57
£10 win treble

It was set up nicely for a draw but Norwich didn't actually create much 2nd half.
-
Gone for the draw in the Leeds v Norwich game. I like Leeds but you can't be playing Patrick Bamford in the Championship any more (cue Bamford hat-trick). I watched the Preston game and while they were the better team they weren't going to score the winner without the soft penalty. Norwich seem improved lately and you can get 5.6 on the draw on betfair.

Saint Segal 1:50 Lingfield (5/2 Bet365). Looked like beating Boothill at Ascot when falling at the last. Up 3lb for that but looked one to follow. Think he beats all the domestic based opposition, it's just the Irish one that's a bit of an unknown and could be a big danger getting 7lb.
Got a bit ragged and loses to the 12 year old First Flow 🤪
1pt win 5/2 Bet365. (actually boosted to 11/4 at the moment).

@DarranNot sure they'd run him at Cheltenham again 😆 but what is Fier Jaguen up to these days? Doesn't seem to have run since hunter chase night...certainly wouldn't mind seeing him try Aintree again.

Backed Forest at 10/11 (Betway). We'll have one eye on Brentford at the weekend and missing 3 at the AFCON, but should still have enough to get the win. They've played twice since drawing at the City Ground and could have some tired legs. Their pitch is decent now which always used to be a concern going up there.
-
Bombay Sapphire 2:07 Hereford (14/1 general). Promising return last time at Fontwell, well up there until tiring in the home straight on heavy ground. Drops in trip on better ground and based on his debut bumper form he has more to offer.
1pt win 14/1/
Just woeful 💩

Patriots were woeful, looks like that was a bad pick.
-
Villa were poor, had a few chances earlier but needed a large slice of luck late on to rescue me.

Mike the Mouth's pick of the week is the Patriots -2.
I've taken -2 at even money with bet365.

Taken Coventry to beat the improving Sheffield Wednesday (4/5 Bet365).Coventry have played better than their league position suggests and they are just starting to take more of their chances now, can still see them sneaking into the playoffs.

Big clue was Kieth Reveley riding on these shores in addition to it looked just as impressive in its last two runs in Froggery.
Yeah the vibes seemed very strong...I was just worried about the faster ground as he seemed to love the heavy over there.

Main market rival last night a NR but the Pipe horse being very well backed, might even start fav at this rate. The 7lb claimer has only got 2 wins from 49 rides this season but still a worry that they seem so confident. I'm just letting my bet ride though,.
Ran awful, pulled his arms out again but wasn't going to beat the Pipe horse anyhow. I should have laid it off 🤮
