Royal Brave (4:30 Catterick) was unlucky last time when Rupert tipped him and looked one to back next time. Very different ground today tempers confidence but he does stay 6f and had one decent run on soft in his prime. Not backed yet as opened a bit skinny but will dabble if it drifts a bit more.
had a small bet at 9/2, could drift a bit more.

That is so shocking and sad, thoughts with his family and friends. His knowledge of and enthusiasm for racing was obvious, he will be missed by everyone.

None of you got the Utd or Liverpool scores right! ?

Strange old race before it's even begun!
-
Superb Luton goal ?

Very welcome goals for Forest and Boro!

I like that treble mate. How are you feeling about Nottingham Forest at the moment? I was surprised at how bad you guys were last week. Worried for Lamouchi.
He definitely needs a win soon! Feel like he deserves a bit more time with all these new players coming in. But I'm not a fan of his 'style' of play to be honest.

Gone for a single on Boro and a double with Luton.

Painful from Norwich, didn't really deserve to win but if only Pukki had longer studs...

Norwich 1.67
Boro 2.25
Luton 1.78
£25 win treble

Boro have been playing with plenty of promise despite not winning in their opening 3 games. I wouldn't take too much notice of the cup loss against Barnsley and they look a good price at around 5/4 to get up and running.
Derby are in dreadful form (the only solace for a Forest fan so far!) and I'd expect Norwich to despatch them easily enough so 7/10 looks very fair.
Probably worth opposing Wycombe until they show they are up to this level so Luton another one for multiples around 4/5.
Treble pays almost 6/1.

No idea but looks a cracking race! Does Stradivarius come into it it's a real slog on heavy?

The earlier starts caught me out there, missed Rupert's 3 pointer! I had the exact same thoughts about Tidal Watch and almost backed him, but badly out of form now.

3:00 Hamilton El Naseri. Becoming a cliff horse for me as I've backed it a couple of times. No show last time at Beverley when stepped up in trip and steps up in trip again tomorrow. Should be on a really good mark now off 69 on his 2 year old form. Interesting that it's already been nibbled at in the betting despite poor recent form. One more chance at 10/1!
slightly better effort, at least came with a run but faded in the last few hundred yards. No more chances!

Would have finished 9th then!

Never a moments doubt!!

Not getting involved after Forest scuppered my treble last week! Tough opening fixtures for Huddersfield, sure they will see this as a bit easier.

Mine jumped terribly! Great pick by Rupert once again, couldn't see him doing it at 12.

Had a small bet on Henrietta Bell in the next at Uttox. Obviously an open race but I think this one has a solid chance, made a fair start over fences and is on her last winning hurdles mark of 120. Cartmel was probably not the ideal track last time and the ground was a bit soft. In form, well handicapped and knows how to win, so a bit overpriced at 7/1 I reckon.

Swansea 1.80
Chelsea 1.38
£10 win double.

Royal Brave won under hands and heels. Didn't have enough on in hindsight! Almost had more on when it touched 6/1.
