Must have been the  biggest big priced winning day of the year 18/1 40/1 33/1 25/1 10/1 to name a few.
and city of Troy form franked again by the last horse home winning easily last night ( I was at least on that one and Faustus)

    Despite that

    Brighton 3pm

hollie Doyle has a very nice ride in this on Archie Watson’s

    LOADED QUIVER

    Win

this one ran well to be just seen off by a 50/1 shot latest.

form also very good from previous race on debut.
Third the last day was Spanish blaze previously a big priced winner over payment in kind who went on to be third in the super sprint. All the form should prove deeper than this race which is cutting up fairly  badly today.

Another head bobber in our favour...I think.

    Brighton

    cinque verde

    faustas

    Both win

    they have got two chances

ive done this race based on the winning draw data averaging the “total”stalls over the last two runnings. Where there is an anomaly in the result (as in two years ago )making the division inconclusive I add another “feature”.

it is a crucial factor and it has worked before,

    sometimes it works, other times…….

fwiw the figure I came up with was 4:49 not based on form at all and there are stronger candidates on the card. But I’ve gone with the draw data.

cinque verde has first run today for a new yard. He won two runs ago and saw out the penalty when last of six on penultimate ride. Trainer “offered no reason” for poor run, but could have said this is his last run for us and we are getting his mark down for his next run.

Never looked in doubt! Got some 10/1 cheers Sporting Sam :notworthy

Burnt the midnight oil only to get the dreaded non runner.

    Fos las

    Golden shot

    win

better a non runner than a non trier.

Hopefully  Geremia  will have gone into plenty of notebooks on Sunday with a ride to rival that seen on kraken power earlier this year.

The less said about the ride the better but Zimmerman was the winner on Sunday and was the latest to frank some hot form by Baez in a race at catterick involving Golden shot.

Mark Prescott knows all about beating the handicapper and his well treated runner was just behind Baez at catterick and Zimmerman further back has richly franked the form. Robert Johnson just held Baez previously before running a blinder at goodwood on Saturday.
GOLDEN  SHOT’S jockey is inexperienced but his claim should help keep this progressive  sort in the forefront.  On that showing improvement is likely although this type of race is not really ideal as a form  confirmer.

    * And yes, Golden shot went through a number of sprint stakes races to obtain a low  handicap  mark to exploit over distances more suited to  the horse’s Golden horn pedigree.

The new jockey didn't mess about there 😁

    Cork 2pm

    Lucky  storm

    Rebel treaty

    both each way

now Sam Ewing has got the monkey off his back he can start getting placed again on his Gordon Elliott rides. This runner is the stable second string but jack Kennedy’s mount has been withdrawn. Rebel treaty drops in trip sharply as a three mile point to point winner. They should all be playing for places behind the Willie Mullins horse though.

Lucky Storm looked like getting top 5 when falling 3 out 😔

The big handicap on the final day of Goodwood is the Stewards’ Cup. Historically the senior steward at Goodwood presented an annual cup to the winner of any race of his choosing. In 1840 the race was established as a 6 furlongs sprint.

This heritage handicap is open to 3-year-olds or older. The off time is 15.35.

There is a big field of 28 runners and with most bookmakers offering 6 places it makes it a good betting proposition.

I have looked at the statistics over the last 9 years these are my key conclusions.

Those horses towards the top of the weights have a good record. Horses carrying between 9st 5lbs and 9st 10lbs have produced 5 wins from 45 runs with a profit of 104 points at Betfair Starting Price. The remainder have 4 wins from 191 runs with a loss of 155 points.

The betting is an excellent guide with 7 of the last 9 winners being in the top 5 of the betting, generating a profit of 52 points. Of the 184 runners outside the top 5 only 2 have won.

Beaten favourites have a poor record with 0 wins from 21 runs.

    This leaves just 1 horse.

    MUMS TIPPLE 20/1

This is available at this price with BET365 who are offering 6 places.

Frankie Dettori has won this twice in the last 8 years, hopefully he goes out with a bang in his final year.

Mums Tipple is outside the top 5 in the betting though.
