Btw, I'm a bit disgusted by the preferential treatment Federer received. Just close the roof for him if he wants that in an OUTDOORS tournament, right? - if I remember correctly, he also played just one day match, which is just incredible celebrity treatment and unfair to the others. Meanwhile, the women had to play in the heat yesterday, which led to Halep being hospitalized (!) for half a day. I get that Federer is the biggest name there is, but the rules should apply to everyone.

I think the event organisers want to maximise revenue and Federer winning his 20th slam at AO will only enhance the event. For me what is really sad that none of the younger guys can raise the bar, men’s tennis peaked 2011-16 and the level has dropped big time.

Jack Sock (+2.5) to beat Grigor Dimitrov at 1.86 with Unibet

Dimitrov might be the slightly better player of the two overall, but I think that there are several factors speaking against him in this one. First, he's got a bad record against Sock. Second, he's not going to get a day off before this match - and he's scheduled to play in the evening session today. Third, there's a big difference in mental states. Sock is playing freely, this really is just a bonus for him. Meanwhile, Dimitrov was getting tight against Thiem, as there is serious pressure on him to finally succeed somewhere - and that is limiting him quite seriously. My money is on Sock being very competitive.

Your evaluation was very good, you convinced me to bet match to go to 3 sets. Thanks

  3. I have a couple of angles on this:

Me and a previous neighbour of mine used to chat about football regularly, he was a Middlesbrough fan and I used bet backing his opinion and did well but never told him I was betting.

I am not a fan of any team anymore, I was a fan of Liverpool from the glory days in the 70s but since 2012ish I’ve lost my passion for them completely and since I’m not emotionally attached anymore I think I am a lot better at predicting their fate.

I can only hope that the NextGen format isn't going to take over :cigar. That's what I'll be wishing for anyway - for the rest of the year, there's only next week to look forward to I guess, it will be Federer against the rest by the looks of things. He played a nice exhibition match against Murray on Tuesday, definitely the big fav. I wonder what 2018 is going to be like though - perhaps a big upset in one of the Grand Slams?

Has Novak still got the desire to push himself to the limit and return to top form? If so then it will be very interesting otherwise Rafa and Roger can rule again
