  1. Racing Chat - Friday Aug 25th

I'm liking the huge odds of two runners today. 28-1 for Moore's runner in the amateur race at Salisbury in the 5.15 TOP DIKTAT and 33-1 for Holmes's runner SIR DOMINO in the 8.05 at Hamilton. Would have needed that last run after almost a year off. Has won off 84, last win was off 72 and today goes off 64 with the lady taking another 5lb off. Won't want thr ground to dry up too much and it looks like quite a nice day, but as long as it doesn't go too firm it'll be fine. Trip might be on the short side too but they often go quite quick in these amateur races, which will suit, and might just set it up for a finisher like TOP DIKTAT. Few ifs and buts, but there are always are, especially in amateur races. Sir Domino hasn't shown much yet for this yard but off this mark, surely his turn can't be far away. Has won off 70 and has several placed efforts off marks in the 70s and today goes off 55. Jack Garrity booked, who has ridden many winners for this yard and with the first-time visor being applied to sharpen him up over this 5f and he will be staying on up that hill when others start to weaken. Interesting each-way singles and a little each-way double, which would pay big.
  2. Racing chat -weds 23rd Aug (York day 1)

Two today for me. Each way singles and a double. 2.15 Bath City Gent 18-1 Who Am I 8.00 Worcester 14-1 City Gent looks a bit of a handful but he should have a learnt a lot from his first run. Ground was quite soft that day and should be a bit better today and he'll definitely improve from that first run. First two in the betting keep on having chances and haven't managed to get in front yet - admittedly maybe in better races but the excuses are stacking up. Who Am I nearly always runs well at this track. Won the race last year, was a promising 4th beaten not too far, which would have put him spot on for this, which they've probably targeted. Confident young jockey taking 7lbs off, who has won 2 from his last 4 rides, including for this yard.

Started early as I have a tip for tomorrow. Sovereign Bounty 3.15 Thirsk currently 8-1 is available.
  4. Racing Chat - Sunday Aug 19th

Spain Burg in the 4.00 at Pontefract will do for me at 6-1. Been to England before and went back with a Group 2 trophy and fancy another trophy will be added tomorrow. I'm sure there haven't been many French runners at Pontefract and maybe it will prove to be a very good piece of planning and placing by the new trainer.

Think 12- 1 even after three non-runners is great value for Massaat in the 3.35 at Newbury. Has form that is head and shoulders above all of these and if Owen Burrows has him even close to spot on - which he is very good at doing - then the rest will be racing for places. Seemed to disappoint when last seen but that good-firm ground that day at Salisbury was actually quite fast and the ground today will be ideal.

Two for me today and a nice little each-way double too. Neshmeya 4.40 Nottingham 11-4 Scotsdale 7.05 Catterick 5-2 Neshmeya has some pretty good maiden form and a couple behind her last time have come out and won since. Scotsdale has been winning bumpers quite easily and definitely has the speed to take this maiden.

Good start with the double up last week on Man Utd and Tottenham. Trying something a little more ambitious this weekend with a seven-match accumulator. Oldham v WIGAN PORTSMOUTH v Walsall SHEFF UTD v Barnsley HIBERNIAN v Hamilton Swansea v MAN UTD Burton v BIRMINGHAM LIVERPOOL v Crystal Palace Combined odds of 45-1 at BV
  8. Racing Chat - Thursday Aug 17th

Trying another big priced one today with 40-1 for Rouge Nuage in the 6.30 at Yarmouth. Regular winner at Wolverhampton but has winning form here at Yarmouth too. Last won off 80 and now dropped down to 74 with a claimer taking another 7lb off. Lightly raced over the last couple of years but his 2nd over this trip at Newmarket in a class 4 race and his Doncaster run, not beaten very in a class 3 race were both decent efforts. Probably needed those runs this year and off this mark with that claim, with the track, ground and trip holding no problems, he could go well at huge odds of 40-1.

Sorry - in my excitement I forgot to name her, ha ha. Thank you.

100-1 shot for me tomorrow over in Ireland. Seems a bit ridiculous but these do pop up every now and then. Form figures of F6/F4-F don't exactly inspire but that's the reason she's 100-1. Doesn't seem to have the hang of jumping fences yet, with three falls from 5 tries. A closer look at some of those races however, might just offer a glimmer or two of hope. First couple of runs were on heavy going and wasn't really put in 2nd time out with much chance from the off. Third race at Borris House showed much more: she tracked the leaders and 2 out she actually joined the leader, going well enough, when she tipped up. One will never tell if that might have registered a win but she ran very well that day on much better going - like tomorrow's. Fourth race also showed some promise on better ground again, weakening late on and was beaten about 14 lengths. She then had the same jockey aboard for her fifth race when she started at only 7-2 2nd favourite, to a Michael Hourigan trained runner, before again tipping up at the 5th. Been given ten weeks off and now makes her debut over hurdles over a trip that will definitely suit and decent-enough ground. One huge positive is that her trainer, Norman Lee, certainly knows what it takes to have winners here at Ballinrobe and Andrew Lynch has ridden winner for these connections. As already said, she's the price she is for good reasons, but I definitely think she's capable of running much better than her odds suggest. I've had a little try each-way at those huge odds.

Like the looks of both Man Utd and Tottenham today. Chelsea slipping up already gives both teams an extra boost if they can start with a win. Jose made some good summer catches and I think they'll outclass West Ham today, who although they have made some new signings too, they're missing a few key players, which is never good playing United at home. Tottenham got thrashed by Newcastle at the end of the season but I'm not bothered about that too much. New season and Tottenham were pretty brilliant for most of last season and will get revenge today. 2-1 the double

At $3m, Mendelssohn 13-8, who has the usual mass of fancy entries, will have probably progressed heaps from his introductory run and surely must be winning a maiden before going on to bigger and better things. 2.30 Curragh

Hello everyone. I'm new here and currently enjoying the summer holidays away from school. My partner works as a trader for one of the big bookies so I occasionally try a little bet.
