Solihull v Halifax
Halifax should win this. Solihull have struggled, and have only managed to score more than once in a match when they were against 10 men of Barrow. Halifax have shown they are solid at the back and just need to score more, which they should be capable of against this poor Solihull defence. Halifax were unlucky not to get a point against a strong Dover side midweek and have had a tough start to the season, compared to the relatively easy start on paper for Solihull. Halifax to win 6/4 with Sky Bet.
Could also be tempted by Halifax to win 1-0 / 2-0 if the price is right.
Boreham Wood v Aldershot
I can't for the life of me work out why Aldershot are 17/10 here. Boreham Wood have picked up an impressive 7 points so far. However they have only managed to scrape a draw against Fylde and beat struggling Torquay and Solihull. Aldershot are my bet for promotion this year after such an impressive end to last season and beginning of this season. Boreham Wood have conceded 7 goals already, and I don't think they will be able to score as freely against Aldershot as they did against Torquay and Solihull. Aldershot should put a few away here, I think 3-1 victory for Aldershot.

Unfortunate not to win the double, with Napoli unable to get a third against 9 man Nice, but fortunate that WH paid out on Griffiths anytime for what was a blatant own goal!

Halifax v Dover
Halifax are yet to score this season, and are up against a Dover defence who have kept two clean sheets from their opening three games. Dover tend to do well when they travel to Northern grounds and I expect them to beat Halifax 1-0 or 2-0, given their proven ability to defend a lead this season, and Halifax’s inability to score. 11/5 for a Dover win looks very generous.
Maidstone v Aldershot
Aldershot travel to Maidstone on the back of a comfortable 6-0 victory over Guiseley on Saturday. Aldershot lead the pack at the top of the National League having won all of their games so far. Maidstone have only managed to pick up 1 point from their opening 3 matches, scoring just one goal. Aldershot have scored 11 goals in their opening 3 matches, and I expect this firepower to be more than enough to beat Maidstone. Evens looks a very generous price for an Aldershot win.
Last minute goal to put Dover 2-1 up, then a last minute goal to draw Maidstone level with Aldershot. Funny old game.

Yeah, I always find it interesting. I think there are so many differing factors between this Liverpool side he manages and the Dortmund side he managed plus Hoffenheim have obviously changed over the years too. Still, it does show how Hoffenheim can raise their game against a "better" side. I think a draw is likely. I'm not convinced I can see Liverpool winning. That defence is still causing problems.
The only thing putting me off Liverpool is the fact that both teams would probably be happy with a draw, and it is always difficult to back a side when that is the case.
However I do think Liverpool will win. I just think they are too good for Hoffenheim, on paper at least. I think Hoffenheim will score, so my pick for the game is Liverpool / BTTS at 10/3.

Yeah, it's going to be a very tough game for Klopp's Liverpool. Does anybody have access to stats that show what Klopp's record against Hoffenheim when he was Borussia Dortmund manager was? Not vitally important but always interesting to see.
He has managed against Hoffenheim in 17 matches (including whilst at Mainz) with 6 wins, 6 draws and 5 defeats.
His Dortmund side played Hoffenheim 15 times, winning 6, drawing 5 and losing 4.
In 8 away matches at Hoffenheim Klopp has won 6 and lost 2.
Quite meaningless IMO, but interesting nonetheless

Macclesfield v Bromley
Bromley travel to the Moss Rose on the back of an impressive victory away at Dover. Both of these sides have taken an impressive 4 points from a difficult first week. Macclesfield won away at Eastleigh and drew at home to Wrexham, Bromley drew at home to Eastleigh and won away at Dover.
Macclesfield were poor at home last season. Poor enough to put me off the short price and attract me to Bromley at 11/4. I think Dover is a much more difficult away trip to Macclesfield and Bromley will be full of confidence after that victory.
Gateshead v Torquay
Torquay have picked up 1 point from their opening 2 matches, compared to Gateshead's 3 points.
However, Torquay have faced two of their toughest games of the season on paper, drawing 0-0 with title favourites Tranmere (albeit reduced 10 men for 35 minutes) and being narrowly beaten 3-2 away at Aldershot.
Gateshead have narrowly beaten relegation candidates Guiseley 1-0 at home and lost 2-1 to another relegation candidate in Woking.
At 4/1 I think the value definitely lies with Torquay, who have shown their ability to defend, keeping a clean sheet against Tranmere and their abilities going forward, scoring twice at Aldershot. A safer bet to add to an accumulator is Torquay/Draw on the double chance market which is 6/5.
