Shaun Murphy v Judd Trump in the final.Would have to fancy Judd but price is poor for me to play outright,it was Murphy's 37 birthday yesterday and nice to see him in a bit form after beating Mark Allen.Good Luck if you have a bet but I will leave this match alone.

Good Mens final today and some good shots played by both players and it is a pity somebody had to lose.

I know I never mentioned it but I backed Vondrosouva at the start At 40-1 so getting to the final it is a 20-1 to be in the final,what with my darts bet winning yesterday all is looking good.I might have a saver on the  set match betting in the final as they are better odds than backing a player to win the match.GoodLuck.

2 more gameweeks before the play-offs. In Sheffield this week. Some big matches and after tomorrow's action we should know atleast half of our play-off "final 4"
M.Smith Vs J.Wade - Smith has checked out this season already and sits bottom of the pile. Already relegated, I can only see Wade winning this one. Smith could be dangerous as he will be calm as you like, but perhaps too calm right now and bordering "not being arsed" James Wade sits 3rd and he knows a win tomorrow will very likely see him in the Semi-finals as Mensur has Rob Cross and MVG in his final 2 matches. What really bodes well for this bet though is the fact James Wade has now beaten Smith 9 times in a row.
M.Suljovic Vs R.Cross - A really important match for Mensur as you would have to say if he doesn't win it, then he's probably not going to make the Semi-finals. This is because 5th and 6th play eachother and unless there is a draw, the winner would either leap-frog or join Suli on points in 4th, with Suli having MVG in his final match. With that in mind, Rob Cross will wantt to win too as he knows 2 wins from here guarentee's him top spot. Funny enough Suljovic has a good record against Rob winning 5 in a row against him prior to Rob beating him on a decider in the Quarter-Finals of the German Masters. This match may be a close one. Cross at odds on doesn't appeal. Mensur is 13/8 "Draw No Bet" which I will take in the Accy but it's a no bet in general.
D.Gurney Vs G.Price - Huge match for both. If Price loses this then that's him done this season. He sits on 15pts and needs a win to keep him in touch. Gurney needs a win himself to put him into the top 4. Gurney beat Price in their last match, in Wigan but prior ro that he hasn't beaten Price in 5 matches. It will be an interesting match. Gurney is in the better form you'd say. 7/5 looks decent value.
MVG Vs P.Wright - These two played at the weekend in the Austrian Open. MVG won, but it was on a decider. MVG has won the last 3 against Peter and Peter sits 7th in the table and already relegated. You would have to favour MVG here. He knows if he doesn't win, he isn't winning the top spot bonus and I think he'll want to get a big win here.

Been too busy, but as soon as I saw Higgins was only 2 behind after being 6 behind. I fancied him to do the job and evens was probably about the right odds, but a bet you'd take 9 times out of 10 - good call.  

I will take India and New Zealand as my two bets but hoping it is a good tournament.

So things get serious tomorrow. Quarter-Finals day.

David Gilbert Vs Kyren Wilson. Gilbert has lived somewhat of a charmed life in this tournament for me. I would love to see Dave win this one but I just think Kyren is far too strong. They played in the German Masters in Feb and Gilbert was 7-5 up before Wilson won 4 in a row, to win 9-7. David, no century in the win over Perry and then up against a perhaps poorly Williams? has done really well to take his chances, but Wilson was 6-1 down against Hawkins and come back to win in style 13-11. Hawkins started that match on fire, scoring 4 centuries and an 82 in that first 7 legs. 5 centuries for Wilson in the match and for me, he wins here with frames to spare. I'll take Wilson on then handicap.
Gary Wilson Vs Ali Carter. What a great Quarter-Final this is. They played their only h2h match last year in the China Open and Gary won 6-4. Both of these two have had to grind out their wins. Wilson beat Brecel in a decider and then Selby 13-10 whilst Ali beat Lisowski pretty easily and then came back a couple of frames down to beat Yuelong.
The strengths of Ali Carter are there to be seen. He has one of the best wills to win and is one of the most determined players on tour. His weakness though is perhaps his scoring. He is a really attacking player, yet he hasn't managed one century in 23 frames. So if this match turns scrappy you'd fancy Ali. But if Gary scores well, it's there for him.

John Higgins Vs Neil Robertson. John Higgins came through a mammoth game against Bingham and then the next day he's starting a Quarter-Final. For me, this is the problem with Higgins run to the final. Stamina must be abit of an issue and his long potting isn't to the standard of the other guys. He is a world class competitor though, and any mistakes he will pounce. Robertson has looked brilliant so far and really, all year, but there were few little errors creeping in at times against Murphy Neil has a good h2h against Higgins though. Let's take away the Champions League and Robertson has won the last 4 matches that would be labelled "important" really. This one for me and also the Trump match, I will be looking at after the first session has Higgins may start well.

Well done.Yuelong never got going this afternoon.

I'm going to take Ali Carter to win his match. Currently down 9-7. I think aslong as he gets the better of the first session he should be OK. Yuelong froze alittle when he got to the end of the match against Allen, so aslong as Carter doesn't get in a position where he is 12-9 or 12-10 down then he should have every chance.

Must be time for las palmas to get another victory at big odds lol I was in gran canaria and went to see them play Valencia at home and had 20 euros on them to win at 14-1 and they did 2-1.I must admit I think they are going to be relegated this season to the segunda.Good Luck Saturday guys !!!
