    Thanks @StevieDay1983 and other lads.
Was a brilliant day Sunday and I thought we deserved the win. We controlled the game, Oxford threatened after they scored. I just wish Mark Robins took over at Christmas, instead of that usless twat Russell Slade. He destroyed us. 2 points off safety when he joined, 17 points off safety when he left. I think if Robins took over at Christmas we would have had a decent chance at staying up. Hopefully momentum can carry on into the Sheffield Utd game but they are also on a good run and they'll want to take advantage of the Bolton slip up on Saturday. I can't see us getting anything there. Just a shame we are 99% certain of relegation, but now is the time to try and force SISU out.
    My selections are:
    - BRIGHTON - to beat a struggling Birmingham side and put the pressure back on Newcastle.
    - SHEFF WEDS - to beat relegated Rotherham and keep their playoff push going.
    - ASTON VILLA - Villa's home form and quality should be enough.
    - NEWCASTLE - to beat Burton to regain top spot (if Brighton win tonight).

Can't find any value in the lower leagues, but agree with @Addpea on Lincoln and Sutton. Boreham wood are a poor team and lincoln should see them off, and i will always back whoever is playing sutton away. Also....
    Forest Green v Solihull Moors
Rovers are on fire of late, losing only twice in last 8 (away to dag & red and Gateshead) but won the other 6 scoring 17 goals in the process. Last 4 homw games were won: 3-0, 3-0, 4-3, and 2-0, and they have only had 1home match where they have failed to score. Solihulls last 2 matches were a 4-1 win and 3-3, and have failed to score in only 2 of their last 8 away games
    Forest Green & BTTS @ 2.88

And... today Nuneaton Town have lost their two best players in Joe Ironside: top scorer on 14 with 31 appearances (transfer to Kiddy Harriers), and Jordan Nicholson: second highest scorer with 8 in 19 games (recalled by home club Peterborough). So thats our team totally screwed for the season (not that it was going anywhere anyway), and i wonder why i support an ambitionless, mediocre team... oh yeah, because i live here. Ah the joys of being a non-league fan.....  At least we're playing Altrincham tonight, so we wont get hammered!
Bloody hell... bookies dont miss anything do they! Just checked the odds at skybet its now-

Look @rashers, no body likes a bloody show off ok, especially on here!
I mean, you swan in here, with your first post and put 3 winners on the table, it's just not how it works on here, right everyone?
I mean we could all post winning tips on here ALL the time, especially me, but we have to put a few duffers in here occasionally (apart from @allyhibs, he does it more than most). I pick winning tips all the time, just choose not to put them on, OK rashers, got it now?
Not that I am jealous or anything
    Well done by the way

Nah, in all truth, I'd be pleased if Merthyr get a point. I used to manage Chippenham on an old Football Manager game. Enjoyed some success there. I wish them none this weekend though! Merthyr DNB for me. Blind optimism maybe!

    NL:
    Aldershot v Sutton
Sutton are by far the worst away team in the division with 2 wins and 4 draws all season, Aldershot, despite a recent blip in form are joint best (with Lincoln) home team in the division - W11 D4 L3. Aldershot are still within reach of the play offs, so expect them to be more motivated, as well as wanting to bounce back from three games without a win.
    Aldershot @ 2.00

    Boreham wood v Guiseley
Bit more of a risky one this, but Guiseley are a team in form, in the last 6 they are W5 L1, a run which has dragged thema way from the relegation zone. Boreham wood (until last tuesday) had not won since early january, and had not won at home since november. However, on tuesday they beat Dover 5-0! I think that was a one off and the entire Dover team had the shits or something.
    Guiseley @ 3.75

    Gateshead v Woking
Wokinghave failed to score in only one away match, and kept a clean sheet in only 2, scoring an average of 1.33 and conceding 2.33 per away game. Of their last 12, 10 have been over 2.5 goals and both teams have scored in 9, they have won only twice in the last 8 away. Gateshead have failed to score in 4 of their home games and in their last 12 both teams have scored in 8. Their last 8 overall - W6 D1 L1, they had won 5 in a row until midweek when they drew (away to macc)
    Gatesheaad & BTTS @ 3.25

    NLS:
    Poole v Hampton & Richmond
H&Rs last 8 away games (to october) - W0 D5 L3, 8 for 11 against, H&Rs recent poor run has seen them fall out of the play offs and replaced by Poole. Pooles last 8 at home - W5 D2 L1, scoring 19 conceding 9, until last week they had won 5 in a row, putting them in the play offs, last week they lost away to welling. They have only lost twice at home all season; to ebbsfleet and oxford city. The reverse fixture Poole won 2-0.

    Walsall V Fleetwood
Fleetwood have scored in every one of their away games, while Walsall have scored in 89% of their home matches. Walsalls BTTS at home is 67% Fleetwoods BTTS away is 59%. Just going on stats because i can't be arsed, some tricky games today, goals here i reckon
    BTTS @ 1.91 (Skybet)

    Chesterfield v Peterborough
Two very poor teams who cannot score goals. Chesterfield have scored 4 and conceded 8 ( 4of those thanks to Oxford utd) in their last 8 home games (the fewest in the league), score an average of 1.11 per home game and concede an average of 1.5.Half of all Chesterfields matches at home were under 2.5. Peterborough have scored 6 and conceded 12, in their last 5 away matches they failed to score in 4 of them, the other was a kicking of Port Vale. They score an average of1.06 and concede 1.22 away. It all points to a thrilling game...

I am absolutely delighted Russell Slade has been sacked. He's the worst manager we have had. Tactically inept, doesn't pick any flair players that leaves you with no creativity whatsoever. We were 2 points adrift of safety on his arrival and we now find ourselves 13 points adrift. We all know the oweners SISU are the massive problem, but playing 11 players in their proper positions would help a bit!!  No optimism left for this season, optimistic we have brought in a decent manager (Mark Robins) for our League 2 campaign next season.
    My picks are:
    - WOLVES:    Big win for Wolves to stay above the relegation zone against a very poor Rotherham side.
    - TOTTENHAM -1:    I would imagine Pochetino (however you spell it!) will go very strong again like the last round. Tottenham's 4th consecutive Sunday game (1 Europa Cup game in between) with 1 more next Sunday too.
    - NEWCASTLE:   Massive game for Newcastle after Brigton's win last night. Newcastle to win to preserve the 3 point gap.
    - CELTIC:   Although Celtic are a massive 27 points clear at the top, they'll want to smash Rangers in the Old Firm Derby. A big gulf in class between the 2 teams.

    Oxford v Bristol Rovers
Oxford are the form team of the division winning 6 and losing 2 of the last 8, including 4 away wins in a row, with the most clean sheets in the division and are on a high after qualifying for the checkatrade trophy final. Oxford are also only 4 points away from the play-offs, and with a tricky tie against Sheff utd away on tuesday, will be looking to pick up the points here. With the matches comingthick and fast, the manager has had to cope with rotating the squad, he says - “We have had to change the team a few times but when we do I’m not fazed by it because I still expect us to win because I know I am bringing good players into the team.”
Rovers have drawn their last 6 matches either 0-0 or 1-1. However in their last 10 away matches, they are D2 L8, and have only won once in the last 8.  and all but one of their wins were against teams in the bottom 10 in the divison. Rovers are safe from relegation but dont have the quality to make the play-offs, or beat a team on form and on a high. Probably will be low scoring, but Rovers have a habit of losing heavily so wont risk the under 2.5.

    Stevenage v Notts County
Stevenage were good to me midweek and i'm backing them here to do the same again, against a team similar to Leyton Orient in trying to escape the relegation zone. Stevenage are another team in form winning 6 and drawing 1 of their last 7 putting them a point behind the play-offs, and have won 5 in a row at home. Matt Godden is the divisions 3rd highest scorer with 18 (5 pens) and is fit to play.
Notts have steadied the ship since January - W4 D2 L1 in their last 7, but 3 of those wins were against fellow relegation candidates, the other (wierdly) was against 2nd placed Plymouth. They won their last 2 away matches, but before that lost 9 in a row. Influential captain O'Connor is suspended. This could be a high scoring but close game, but in form Stevenage sghould edge it. Stevenage have kept a clean sheet in only 12% of home games, and Notts 13% of away games, so i'm going to copy my midweek bet.

    Some tricky betting this week...
Agree with @addpea about Worcester v Darlington, also Worcester havent scored from open play since Feb 4th, that scorer was Lee Hughes (now at Telford). Darlo are a point behind the play-offs, and must regard this as 'banker' material
Darlington to have clean sheet @ 2.70
Darlington and both teams not to score @ 3.25

    Aldershot v Lincoln
Both teams have similar form of late, and Lincoln can focus on winning the league. What these two teams have in common is the ability to score goals with Lincolns Matt Rhead (lincoln) on 13 and Aldershots Scot Rendell on 12. Aldershot have score 14 in their last 6 home games (W4 D2) and score an average of 1.71 goals per home match, Lincoln have lost only 1 league game this year (away to Barrow) and are W5 D1 L1 in 2017, scoring 11. They score an average of 1.73 per away match and have kept only 3 clean sheets away from home.
    Over 2.5 goals @ 1.83
    BTTS and over 2.5 goals @ 2.20

I was tempted but I just think it's too unpredictable. If Leicester deliver a performance again this week then I'll be happier to back them but one swallow doesn't make a summer as they say. I think the over 2.5 goals market will be worth getting involved in. BTTS odds might be too low, I'm not sure.

Ah, so that's the Rangers in your name. I actually have a soft spot for you guys. After we undeservedly won the 2003 Play-off Final I had literally dozens of QPR fans come up to me after the game and on the night out after the game in the city centre shaking my hand and wishing us luck in the Championship. I thought that oozed class and have respected you guys ever since. We always have dramatic games as well. That game in the season you went up where Bothroyd and Taarabt scored screamers was amazing as well. Good times.

Walsall have lost twice in their last 9 matches and have won their last 5  home games, the forward duo of Morris and Oztumer are both fit. Chesterfield have not won under their new manager, and have won once since boxing day (against coventry), they have drawn the last 2 away matches but got a 4-0 thumping from Oxford at the weekend, their away form is W1 D4 L 12. Walsall will be up for it with the home crowd behind them and want to bounce back from their defeat at wimbledon, Walsall manager also says that they must not be complacent stating- “These are the games where we have to be on the mettle. We have to match their energy, passion and commitment. Then we can play our football.”  Chesterfield are poor and lost decent players in January, cant see them turning the corner against walsall.

Stevenage have hit a run of form since the end of January winning 5 and drawing 1 (Exeter away) and have scored 10 conceded 2 in their last 5 home wins. Manager Sarll has a fully fit squad and are just 2 points away from the play-offs. Leyton Orient despite a mini revival when beatin plymouth and drawing against Yeovil, have since reverted to their shit ways by losing their next 2 games (both at home) to Notts County and cheltenham - both similarly struggling teams. Orient are relying on youngsters but are also hit by injuries (see preview). They do however tend to score goals away from home, only failing to score in 4 away matches. According to footystats.org 75% of stevenages home games had both teams scoring, and 67% of Orients away games had both scoring.
