  9. 2 picks for Wimbledon qualifying matches tomorrow: KUBLER-4 GAMES HANDICAP OVER TIRANTE @ 1.75 pinnacle Kubler has 33-10 record this year, and winning 14 out of his last 16 matches, and he is playing a clay court specialist. GRENIER-BARRANCO 2:0 sets @ 1.5 (several bookies) Grenier has good serve and a good game for grass, in general, playing vs another clay court specialist (Barranco).

  10. Katerina Siniakova (+1.5 sets) to beat Simona Halep at 2.41 with Pinnacle Something just isn't clicking with Halep, she's good in patches and bad in patches, and she had a very disappointing Sunday when she lost against Haddad Maia. If she's still in a bit of a slump, Siniakova can certainly steal a set, as she did against Andreescu last time out. Given the odds, I much prefer the set handicap over the games handicap, as Siniakova can produce a meltdown in the decider.

  12. A sure welcome was running off a 7lb lower handicap mark than it had won off in the last year. It had also fallen 10lb in its last 6 runs. For me, the markets are nowhere near as reliable as they used to be. When the prices (and s.p.'s) were taken from the bookmakers in the betting ring, it was a useful tool watching the markets. Nowadays (since covid) the bookmakers set their own s.p.'s and there have been some very strange ones... a couple of weeks back I backed a selection at 9/1 just a minute or so before the off... it won at an s.p. of 9/2 .... that was bookmaker manipulation because of liabilities IMO.

  13. I was gobsmacked yesterday when I saw that A Sure Welcome won the 6.05 at Windsor at 9/1. It was clear top RPR rated and had a good record at the track over the distance, Its recent form, however, had not been good. Despite the horse's previous past excellent performance at the track, the media press convinced me that Hello Me was a better bet (finished last). The way my day went I didn't back anything yesterday, however, this has got me thinking that I have to find the correct balance between assuming that those horses at the front end of the market in a race will run better than those at the other end of the market, whilst, logically dismissing outsiders who do not appear to have a realistic chance of success. Whilst it would be foolish to ignore favourites and those at the front end of the market in handicaps, in future, I will actively look for clues as to whether the longer-priced runners do indeed have just as much a live chance of winning the race as the main market leaders. Not had much time once again to look at the races so far today. I have placed a 1 point win on Boom The Groom in the 1.30 at Brighton at 4.6 Hopefully, I will find some time to look at other races later Good luck to all punting today

  14. It was a very tricky race, to be honest, the racing post had every runner at single figure odds ( 9/2 - 9/1 )which means that even their odds compiler was struggling.

  33. I tried searching for that Q&A session but couldn’t find it. My recollection was that he doesn’t have a high volume of bets simply because he thinks that it’s rare for a demonstrably wrong price to be offered. I did find a tweet summarising his end of year performance that tallied exactly with my numbers above, which may be a first! I think I usually miss at least one selection over the course of a season. It’s his 26th consecutive season showing a profit. The fact that they don’t publish the returns for most of the other tipsters no doubt speaks volumes.

  35. A few words about Garbine for anyone of a mind to back her anytime soon - tread carefully. Conditions are a little tricky in Eastbourne right now due to wind, but even so the unforced error count from her is too high and shows why she's been losing so often recently. If you can't keep the ball in the court then literally anyone can beat you, and a quick look at Garbine's record this season shows that's exactly what's been happening.

  37. I just enjoy rating and having a go ....but there's a lot of strength on this forum....lots of knowledgeable people coming at races from different angles ......I'm still kicking myself about Ted's rohaan....after he pointed it out you could see the potential and I shoukd have put a saver on it .....but you know coming on the forum you can see big races from diff angles and make an informed choice yourself and that's where the strength of the forum lies .....I think its great and I really enjoy reading everyone's thoughts

  38. Hi all, payments were sent last night, they will show as coming from TAG Media who are the managment team. Any problems let me know. I see the Prem League fixtures were released this week for beginning of August so we should be back for then. I'll probably break it up a bit differently due to the World Cup, my thinking at the moment is to do 3 x 10-week seasons rather than squeezing in more shorter ones, which allows a bit of leeway to take a slight break between. Enjoy the Summer break!

  39. Bookings quite high for this game (58 to sell) which seems reasonable given the ref’s stats. I was surprised to see a red card as big as 4/1 with 365. Looks worth a maximum stakes bet (as in the maximum £1.88 they’re willing to allow me). A great bet if you’re willing to go with the short term stats (ref has shown 8 reds in 6 of his last 11 games) but only fair to balance that with him showing just 4 in the 44 MLS games prior to that. All in all, I think the 4/1 makes for a reasonably priced interest bet.
