Good shout, Watson as underdog is terrible. She won a couple when slight underdog, but look at her results when 2.2 or higher since the start of 2020, two and half years!

Viktorija Golubic to beat Heather Watson at 1.62 with Pinnacle Golubic seemed to have a good shot at beating Raducanu today, but we all know what happened. Watson will be a big step down, in any case, and the Brit has been struggling to string two decent performances together pretty much all season long. Golubic should outplay her knowing how erratic Watson can be these days, and the odds aren't too bad for that to happen.

RESULTS UPDATE Bad day for my principal selections. I cannot understand why Chookie Dunedin ran such lousy race. I know that the distance was a a furlong shorter than ideal but very disappointing all the same. Along with us punters trying to pick a winner we seemingly have to allow for crap runs from hitherto in-form horses. I do realise that horses aren't machines but this scenario plays out all too often imo. At least Tipperary Tiger produced the goods and this meant that my losses were limited to 6.91 points for the day. MTD = -19.76 and YTD -177.31 I think I will revert to a couple of horses in my races from tomorrow. Hopefully, one of them will run its race. The problem is how can I determine pre-race time which horse will give its true running? I never mind if my horse gets beat whilst giving its all but it does cheese me off when too many of them may as well not turned up in the first place,

Completely agree with @Johnrobertson here. In that, there's not been a Canadian Open since 2019 so not much course form to go on which is what I like to look for in my Fantasy Golf squad. My shortlist was: Shane Lowry, Mackenzie Hughes, Jhonattan Vegas, Adam Hadwin, Matt Wallace, Aaron Cockerill, Paul Barjon. And I decided to go with: Lowry - Hughes - Hadwin - Wallace - Cockerill - Barjon Dropped Jhonattan Vegas from the final selection as he had a shocker final round at The Memorial. Hadwin, Hughes, Cockerill went with on being inspired by a home event. Even Barjon (French Canadian perhaps?) I picked on this basis. Lowry a class act and Wallace showed signs of a resurgence in form lately so took a punt with him. Best of luck to all.

Few little stats for the Watson v Golubic match just starting. Watson underdog stats are above of course as we discussed earlier. Watson when losing first set? (any odds)? 3-19 on grass, not many comebacks happening. Golubic when losing the first set, any odds? 3-15on grass, not many comebacks from her either. Golubic on grass when fave? 14-9 I went deeper as lots of wins seemed to be very low odds. Golubic on grass between 1.4 - 1.95? 3-6, not good. Watson has lost 5 of the last 6 matches against Top 100 ranked players.

Looks tricky not much course form I am going for:- Adam Hadwin 35/1 - coming into form 18th last week, a Canadian who has some decent form playing in Canada. Cameron Smith 12/1 - One bad round last week on a course which probably didn't suit him, more to come from him I think. Shane Lowry 18/1 - In the form of his life this season and should be suited by the course. Tony Finau 28/1 - Looks like he is coming into form especially in his putting. Good luck

RESULTS UPDATE A couple of place wins so no harm done and a small profit of 3.11 pts. I think I will request minimum of 1/4 odds on Betfair Exchange in future with an allowance for the 2% commission as well. I seem to be able to get away with it, probably because of the very small stakes. Not much money seems to get placed in the "place" betting market. I don't recommend anyone get involved with in-running betting in the place "exchange" markets they seem to be very erratic. My MTD is now -12.85 and YTD -170.40 Haven't had a chance to look at tomorrow's fare yet. It can't be as bad as today's can it?

Had a flick though Fontwell and like the look of a few. Not done any singles yet but done a small acca in case the stars align! Fortunate Fred 1:00 9/4. Looks to have the best form in the book with 2 solid efforts at Sedgefield. Floy Joy (nap) 1:35 7/2. Dropped to a good mark judged on jumpers bumper win and 2nd at Newton Abbot. Good ground looks key. Sammylou 3:20 5/1 (bet365). 4lb below last year's course and distance win and will be ready to go after break. Main rivals don't look that well handicapped. Belle Jour 3.55 (price gone, don't bother!). I like CD form for chases here, won easily last time and this looks weak. Underwhelming runs from Fortunate Fred and Floy Joy, I thought Sammylou looked the winner all the way round and was 1/7 on the run in but got worn down close home

From the point of view of poor quality racing mid-week. The trainer has tried that trick with your horse before and got away with it in2020; however, it seemed to me that it had been running so badly that it could not be trusted to bounce back. Let's hope that the quality of racing improves during the week
