  1. Viva La France 😄 3/3 over in France saves the day. 6/1, 5/4 & 8/13 winners. Doubled up on two of them as well. Hope some of you backed the French ones, might just start backing the French and stay clear of the UK 🤣. Will post my updated figures later on. Really frustrating with the UK info I had also. Horse was so green and blew it's chances early on in the race and was still only just touched off in 2nd. Will be one to follow next time out I think. Drifted to 7/4 as well so would have returned a nice amount on the double. Really appreciate the kind messages from ever

  2. I don't have a % win expectancy. It's racing, so as you will know, we shouldn't expect anything. I just have to continue to have confidence in my selections and the info I receive. I used to work on a pts system but many said flat stakes were a more sensible approach and to select a stake you're comfortable with. The amount I'm comfortable with staking is £15 per selection and that is purely down to personal preference. I like to have 50pts available to me in my betting bank so would have probably gone with £20 stakes. However, I am trying to be sensible to start with and hopefully work m

  3. Yep, thanks to @Barnes1882for his excellent contributions, I am tempted to put some of my hard earned cash on myself. I do agree with @roger2256that it is better not to include bets that were not put up before the race.

  4. Thank you @Barnes1882for your time and effort. Thank you to everyone who contributes to this forum. Whether the bets win or lose, people should respect the time and effort into predicting/evaluating/posting. It is up to each individual person to follow the bets or not and at their own risk. Much appreciated @Barnes1882. Good luck with your bets. x

  5. To be fair to Roger I think it is fair to ask someone what sort of percentage of winners they back as that is a significant factor that drives the stakes a punter risks as a proportion of their betting bank. I don't follow anyone else in my betting but have enjoyed Barnes' contributions and enthusiasm. Interesting to see that he/she is a teacher - as was Phil Bull before he took up a career on the turf full time.

  11. Sorry to have to say this Roger but I feel that your comments are a bit harsh in relation to a new very successful recruit to Punters Lounge. He seems to me to be a very genuine and sincere helpful chap who is willing to listen to other members. It came across to me that you were being a bit of a bully and this did not seem to be appropriate.

  13. Andrey Rublev to beat Roberto Bautista-Agut at 1.52 with Pinnacle I backed RBA today and he did get the job done, but I think he loses tomorrow. He's been a bit shabby overall so far, just lucky with the draw and enjoying the conditions. Rublev is way better than Fritz/Paul given the surface and I think he'll get the revenge he wants.

  15. £120 (8 × £15) staked over 8 bets. £165 returned. £45 profit. Current bank £1045. Had a good think today and I am going to stake £20 as my flat stake on bets. That's what I'm comfortable with so that's what I will do. When I get info however, I will possibly stake £30 on those if I am confident in them. I will state clearly next to the bets the stake. I have one info horse for tomorrow for example which I've staked £30 on as it's from my Crowley contact. Only info horses (UK & France) will have increased stakes. Hope everyone had a profitable day.

  17. Ratings might be slightly too high for the older horses, so the ratings on some of them in the top 3 might be too generous. Not taken into account age, yet, but will add in age rating for the weekend and also going forward into the flat season .

  18. After this match It's hard to believe that Rublev can do something against Nadal... He even had cramps during the third set. RBA has done a good favour for Nadal. I wonder what he drinks during matches cause this has been impressive. What an athlete. I was eager to see the Nadal-Rublev match since I saw the draw but now this won't be the same... Rublev will play at a disadvantage

  24. make the most of bog until bookie stops it ( or bans u) with the early price - if it is 10-1 or under. If over 10-1, it is more likely better backing on exchnage as the overround is a lot shorter (make sure ur on basic plan for betfair exchange 2%). 25-1s are often 40 or 50 on exchange.

  25. saw Evans vs Lajovic and Hurkacz vs Fabbiano. Evans played quite well there, defending with slice backhand super effectively and coming to the net finish points. I saw Hurkacz struggle with Fabbiano. He was not playing particularly well and I don't think he's great on clay anyway. Decided to keep away from Evans-Hurkacz cause couldnt tell how it would go.

  29. Pablo Carreno-Busta to beat Casper Ruud at 1.97 with Pinnacle Going for this one as well, I liked how PCB played against Khachanov and Ruud is priced on the result from yesterday, overvalued I'd say. I think PCB holds a decent edge and I wouldn't have him above 1.7 personally.

  39. Livebet Andrey Rublev - RBA over 2.5 sets at 2.02 with Unibet Somewhere today in the last two matches in Monte Carlo there will be at least one 3 set match if not both will be because the probability is high now that it happens since no match has gone over 2.5 sets today so I've cashed out my bet on Andrey Rublev to win 2-0 and gone all in at over 2.5 sets in that match. Unfortunately I didn't cash out before RBA was up 3-0 so this bet is more or less some more money back for me if it hits.

  40. needless to say novak focus is only on winning the french open and it wouldn't surprise me if he retires before federer and nadal if he wins that. it is an uphill task to win that crown from master of clay rafael nadal. nadal thrashed dimitrov 6-1, 6-1 and he is going to win this title quite easily. I dont like seeing that hot headed medvedev at number 2 spot. so wish nadal takes that spot again.

  46. Cristian Garín (+4.5) to beat Stefanos Tsitsipas at 1.72 with Bet365 Garin was looking good in his last two matches. He had very few unforced error and got points from long rallies. H2H statiscs say that this handicap is good bet for this match. I dont trust Greek's play. Sometimes his game is not stable in a match. Garin again will play with few unforced error and he can also beat Tsitsipas. Good luck

  47. Sorrry you had a bad day; I backed Eaglehill as well. I too find it very annoying when horses with good recent form seem to run like cart horses. It shouldn't be like a lottery as to which horse will run to form when they turn up at a racecourse but so often this is the case. Its price was rock solid overnight and in the morning. It was sent of 5/2 Fav which was shorter than 11/4 and even 7/2 this morning. A big run was expected but it just flopped. I would love to have a formula of how to know when a horse will run true to form or run badly but alas I can't find one. Hopefully tomorro

  49. 5pts staked between the first two I put up which returned nothing. Then 1.5pt win on Jawwaal lost and Nibras e/w 7/1 returned enough to cover both stakes. Mohaafeth I had 5pts on as was info and returned 15pts. End the day 5pts up but also had a 2.5pt double on 1415 Vintage Clarets & 2015 Gunnerside which if the 2nd horse wins will return 16pts. So currently 5pts up and if the double lands will end the day 18.5pts up but if it loses will end the day 2.5pts in profit. No pts will be advised from tomorrow onwards. Same stakes for 90% of my selections unless I get
