  1. More profit on Tuesday to continue the good 1st month or so of the new season. Most of my bets are usually in the National League, but nothing really stands out as a bet this week, so I have 3 bets at Step 2 and 1 at Step 3. Also Gloucester City v Blyth Spartans Blyth would have gone down last season if the season had of ended and they already look like they will be in a relegation battle this time around as well. I opposed them last week and Telford should have put the game to bed well before they gifted Blyth an equalizer in the 90th minute. They lost in the FA Cup on Wednesday to

  5. UK-trained runners have a phenomenal record in the 19.45 at Dundalk. They have won the race five times from the past six renewals. Two UK-raiders are Dundalk bound on Friday It costs a pretty penny to bring these horses across the water and they aren’t travelling over for the fun of it. muker The horse is sent on a 642-mile round trip from his base in North Yorkshire. He won on debut at Newcastle which is a major plus as he is proven on an all-weather surface.bet365 is 7/1 rest of bookies 4/1 first 3 places or rocket action 802-mile round trip. Good news for those of us with 25-1 AP Tickets is that Orbaan has been declared for Saturday and has a high draw [20/23]. Spencer is not riding the horse, instead its stable jockey Danny Tudhope who has won the race before.

  9. A new system from me which I haven't tested before. A total mixed bag of backs, lays, draws etc. although I will record how each "mini-system" performs individually. Qualifying selections are based on info gleaned from the fantastic CGM Bet tool. The only issue I have is that the tool takes it's odds from the usual bookmakers, so the lay prices for my lay bets will often be higher from Betfair which may distort my figures for the lays. I'll take each lay bet individually, and will note if the bet was unmatched, if I look for a better price and look to let the bet go in-running in order to rea

  10. Saturday could well be the best ever day's racing in Australia given we have The Everest at Randwick and the Caulfield Cup, which features plenty of European interest. I have done a runner-by-runner guide for both races. Nature Strip - The world's best sprinter has been disappointing in both starts so far this prep, but there have been excuses. He has a shocking record 1st up so it wasn't a huge surprise that he was beaten by Gytrash. 2nd up he went back to his very keen ways which he looked to be over and it wasn't a big shock he faded badly. That was explained though by the fact he was

  16. Some cracking games on this round of fixtures. It's a shame they come right after the international break as that always leaves you less sure where teams are and what players are fit or not. Man U are 1.7 to beat Newcastle away. You'd have to be crazy to want to take that price in my view! We don't really need to go into what's wrong with Man U, but the short version is they are being priced up on reputation rather than how good they actually are. Newcastle are no world beaters, but are a solid middle PL team, and should not be so big to win this one. Newcastle +1 for me is pr

  17. I've been a bit bored this week, off work for the UK holiday this week. Not much to do, so trawled through the forum and came across my old system test. I'm going to give this a go again until the end of the season. Would love to make profit, but will be happy to just gain info and see what works (if anything!) to refine for next season. I got frustrated with it last time, as it's very much an up and down system, but looking to be more patient and positive this time! Last time, the first season produced a profit of around £150.00 roughly. Same selection criteria before,

  20. Everton vs Liverpool The Merseyside Derby is our first bit of Premier League action after the international break with Everton hosting Liverpool in a 12:30pm BST kick-off from Goodison Park on Saturday afternoon. The form of these two teams so far this season means we should be set for a cracking encounter and it's undoubtedly the first clash between these two in a while where the blue side of the city are sitting proudly at the top of the table before kick-off. Everton have so far met the high pre-season expectations that many pundits and supporters piled on them by storming to the

  22. Derby vs Watford The Championship is back after a break in games for the international window. First up, we have the Friday night kick-off at 7:45pm BST when a struggling Derby side will look to kickstart their dour season at home against a promising-looking Watford team at Pride Park. Everything seems to be pointing towards an away win but we know that the second tier of English football is far from predictable. Derby have only managed to get 1 win from their opening 4 league games which has left them down in 20th place and just 3 points outside the relegation zone. The Rams did pic

  24. Man City v Arsenal Arsenal, in recent seasons (2016-2019) have just been atrocious against the top league teams. In 18 away games against the likes of Chelsea, Liverpool, Man City, Man United and Tottenham they have won 0 out of 18 games. They have lost 14 times and drawn just 4, for 4 points out of a possible 72! So the question is really ...Can this new look Arsenal get anything at Man City? Man City and Liverpool look slightly vulnerable. City just look a little jaded, and Pep will not solve the problems by splurging on defensive players like a kid in a sweet store. Something in

32 players remain in the English Open and by the end of play tomorrow night we will be down to just 8. Winning players will have to play twice tomorrow, once in the morning/lunch time and then again in the evening. There's very much a few "50/50" type matches in the line-up and a couple of nice priced outsiders too. The first I like is Jamie Clarke to beat Vafaei. I went against Clarke in the last round and looked pretty silly as he romped a 4-1 win over Highfield. I had Vafaei to beat Perry and he obliged but he was quite fortunate that Perry missed a few easy shots and he's going to hav

It's exactly what you'd expect it to be ..... I'm looking for horses that give a better probability of placing/winning when compared to their price. I record the results to Betfair SP as that's the price that can be achieved rather than BOG/suggested price etc etc which I feel offers too much of an opportunity for manipulation.

I'll come back and look in the morning and fingers crossed it's still OK. (Hopefully solved the issue by changing the files from png to jpeg.) I'm not sure if I am doing it the same way as BillyHills did, the only way I could find to get an image was to use the snipping tool to save as a pic. Any comments please post in the thread titled Odds, as this one is locked.

  36. Aye, well, the devil is always in the detail, so it should help folks if you give them the detail, plus an insight into the logic and discipline that I deploy. Betting is a COLD / HARD game, one that few people manage to break even on, let alone show a profit, and if you do show a profit the algorithms that the Bookies now employ will soon root you out and kick you out. No one runs a tighter ship with their algorithms than Bet365 or Billy Hills, but all the Bookies are at it. I've served my time betting, had some memorable wins, but over the last 50 years I guess I've burned £250,000

  38. Hello Stevie, Am I a Wunderers Fan ? no, is the short answer, having said that I've been to a lot of their games in the last 50 years, more than a lot of fans have been to. The reason being, I grew up in the midst of them, some avid, or should that be rabid FANatics. If you were born and bred in Westhoughton you were dyed in the wool as a Wunderers supporter. But, due to living next door to Fred "Punchy" Griffiths the full back for Wigan RLFC my wool was dyed in a different colour, I've always been more into Rugby, League and Union. Add to that a lifelong buddy of mine played RL "in the
