  1. Curragh 4:25 Royal Illusion - 12/1 betvictor e/w thanks Royal Illusion - from Willie Mullins yard they won the UK Cesarewitch with Stratum the surprise winner for yard at a big price and maybe he could do the double winning both so I've went for another one of Mullins who sends four runners out today, The 7yo has been successful at 1m 4f and 1m 7f on good ground; has also won two NH flat races over 2m in November last year so has no problems with distance, Although conditions where on good to yielding I don't expect the condition today will bother him as his last race 31 days ago at List

  4. Happy enough with the way things went on Saturday obviously frustrating the two bigger bets failed to land, but there were some big prices landed with the 4 teams that did win and it was just what was needed after a couple of tough sessions. Not that many games this week and I have just two bets that have caught my eye. Blackfield & Langley v Weston-Super-Mare My main ante-post bets for the BetVictor Southern Premier South were Weston and they have made a solid start to the season where they have maybe drawn more than ideal. They showed their class on Saturday though as they hamm

This gets started on Monday. Bingham looking to keep hold of the trophy. Ronnie O'Sullivan in town and a few players realy on form makes me think this tournament could be a good one. Top half of the table is likely to yield a Bingham Vs Murphy quarter-final. The winner of that is likely to make the final in my eyes. In the other half it's all about Ronnie O'Sullivan, but that also means there is plenty of big outsider value picks. I'm going to take Bingham first up. I said it before. I was looking at Bingham a month ago to be honest. I backed him for the Champions League and he's alr

  8. I have had tough spells in the past and given this one has only lasted 2 match days it is not exactly the longest, but this week has been really tough. Saturday wasn't great and the 3pt Yeovil bet losing was annoying, but what happened on Monday and Tuesday was just awful. Gloucester should have won that game with ease in the circumstances, but they massively under performed and obviously personally that defeat was hard to take. Then for Dover to go and somehow lose 4-0 to Aldershot on the Tuesday night was probably an even freakier result. I have now tipped up Dover in their only 2 games they

Day 1 : Plenty of matches tomorrow. In the first sessions the ones I like are Ben Woollaston to beat Higginson, first up. Woollaston won the previous h2h between the two, at the China Open this year, in April. In that 6-3 win, Woollaston scored one hundred and 5 50+ breaks. He has been scoring well recently and Higginson is out of form. His only wins this season have been against out-of-form players. One outsider I like tomorrow night is Harvey Chandler to beat Mike Dunn. Dunn has looked pretty poor recently, losing 5-0 to Trump and 5-3 to Steadman without so much as a 50 break. Add to

  12. Richard Gasquet to beat Kwon Soon-woo at 1.61 with Bet365 Very much agree with what's been said above. Mikael Ymer to beat Joao Sousa at 1.85 with Pinnacle Given that this is going to take place in Stockholm, I simply have to side with the in-form Ymer that's always done relatively well in home conditions and who is in a stunning form at the moment. Yes, most of those wins did happen on the Challenger circuit, but he's good enough to play on the main one already and Sousa should be lacking some confidence after a not-so-great year, so I'd have the home boy as a somewhat bigger f

  16. Gauff to beat Ostapenko @1.9 bet365 Gauff looked solid whole tournament. She did beat Bertens and her opponents were more solid. She is confident and worked her way with confidence. For Ostapenko this tournament is sort of comeback. But her unstability, underconfidence and double faults should make the difference.

  17. Antwerp ATP Kwon Soon - Gasquet Gasquet is not shining this year. After Cincinnati he couldn't get but 1 win (against Granollers) out of 5 games. He lost agains Thiem, Goffin, Paire... Before that he won several games agains Schwartzman, Bautista-Agut, Murray. On the other side Kwon Soon seems to do better statistically. He played and won more games, however, most of Korean's games were against lower ranked players. He still have some wins agains good players as Pouille, Millman. Considering that: overall Gasquet is a much more experienced player. Gasquet sho

  24. Totally unrelated to this week - or indeed any recent weeks - but I came across the Dimitrov v King match from before the US Open again and the numbers are staggering. It's possibly the most ridiculous tennis match I've ever seen from a heavy favourite. Dimitrov gave up 23 break points across the match, with those points spread across 10 of his 11 service games. I've never seen anything like it - maybe others have. I've no idea what was wrong with Dimitrov that day but that performance really was something else and is possibly Exhibit A in terms of not betting on heavy favourites - you just do

  25. Qasbaz in the 2:30 at Goodwood has already been backed and is currently 15/8 with Skybet (7/4 generally). Had 2 really solid runs so far and Jamie Osborne gives him a good mention on his twitter videos. Either of his 2 runs so far should be good enough to win this unless something improves a fair bit.
