  1. As quick as Kyren Wilson wins the Masters on a Sunday night, the day after we have the World Grand Prix to start. It all kicks off tonight when Mark Allen gets it underway against Gary Wilson. This event was won last year by Ronnie O'Sullivan (no suprise) who returns this year. However, what is suprising is it was the first time he had won the event in 4 attempts. The players who have been heavily involved in the back end of the Masters I will avoid. The likes of Kyren, Gilbert etc do not play until midweek but Germany to Cheltenham after all that snooker doesn't appeal to me backing them. That being said I am going to give Robertson another chance here as I think he is close to being back in-form. Round 1 M.Allen Vs G.Wilson M O'Donnell Vs A.Carter J.Lisowski Vs D.Junhui D.Gilbert Vs Y.Bingtao N.Robertson Vs Z.Guodong J.Robertson Vs M.Davis S.Maguire Vs M.King M.Williams Vs Y.Sijun M.Selby Vs S.Murphy J.Higgins Vs N.Saengkham J.Perry Vs T.Ford J.Trump Vs S.Carrington K.Wilson Vs M.Stevens S.Bingham Vs Z.Xingtong B.Hawkins Vs R.Day M.Fu Vs R.O'Sullivan The main two players I like are in the top half and that is Mark Allen and Neil Robertson. Robertson, much like the Masters preview, I think is "due" a big performance. Allen was not involved with the German Masters and has had a nice break here. He also has a decent draw as you would fancy him to beat Wilson and Carter or O'Donnell which puts him into a last 8 spot. In the bottom half you would expect Ronnie to come through. There is a cluster of good players in the bottom half including Ronnie, Bingham, K.Wilson, Trump and Selby so it would be a tough draw to get to a final but i will throw a point at Saengkham who break builds well at this format that could be dangerous. 2.5pts M.Allen to win the Grand Prix 12/1 BetVictor 2pts N.Robertson to win the Grand Prix 16/1 boylesports 0.5pts E/W N.Saengkham to win the Grand Prix 150/1 bet365

  2. N Vidjay Sundar Prashant to beat Carlos Boluda Purkiss at 3.00 with Betsafe Taking a livebet on the indian in Chennai here. I think he's the better player on this surface and he seems to be able to win the rallies so he could run out victories at home.

  3. Karlovic + Tsonga at 1.89 with SportingBet "Dr. Ivo" has impressed me in the early part of the season, having made the final of ATP Pune (and then only losing in 3 tight sets to Anderson) and going out in 5 sets to Nishikori in the Australian Open. Obviously the court surface favours Karlovic here, and he has a 3-1 H2H record against his opponent. @CzechPunter has already covered the play on Tsonga, so I won't repeat it here.

  9. Mayer to beat Delbonis at 2.03 with Pinnacle I think Mayer is better right now . He played better in last 5 games than Delbonis and he beated him in 2017 . I don`t understand why Mayer is underdog here

  11. Norrie has not played since the AO 1st round where he lost against Fritz 3-0. Norrie record on clay: 7-7 On the other side, Cachin is a local player that has won the Qualification against Trungelliti and Quinzi in straight sets. Cachin record on clay: 165-106 In resume, a clay-courter player already adapted on Cordoba's clay against a Hard surface player first clay match this year. Cachin +1'5 sets at 1'58 with MarathonBet Stake 2'5/10

  12. Day 1 Preview : Tonight we get underway with 4 matches. Mark Allen against Gary Wilson which is normally a quite tight affair, Ronnie against Marco Fu, Hawkins plays Ryan Day and Bingham has Xingtong. Marco Fu has had some awful form and I really cannot see anything but a 4-0 or 4-1 so i think the -2.5 handicap although generally risky in a 1st round encounter is a good choice here. Ronnie has beaten Fu 6-0 twice and 6-1 once in the past 5 meetings and with Fu's recent results is why I'm swayed. Ryan Day will be my secnd pick. Hawkins I expected more from in the Masters. He took the lead well against Milkins but let him back in and made far too many mistakes. Day has a good record against Hawkins and I think that the value is there with Day. 4pts R O'Sullivan (-2.5 frames) to beat M.Fu Evens Bet365 4pts R.Day to beat B.Hawkins 11/10 Bet365

  15. Yeah, Norrie could very well be worth a bet there, depends on how he feels on the Cordoba clay, which might be rather specific. He's better than Cachin though, that's for sure.

  16. Tsonga to win the ATP Montpellier at 10.00 with 888 I will not watch the tournament so my only personal prediction here will be the final winner. From all the players that compete here Tsonga is the player who was playing better, he did not have a long run in the AO because he had to face Djokovic in his second match there after beating Klizan 3-0. He lost against Nole (6-3, 7-5, 6-4) but he was the player who put in more troubles to Nole, more than Nadal did in the Final. Tsonga was playing so well (he did semifinal in Brisbane) and his serve was working very well (this tournament is played in hard indoor courts so benefits big serving players). The 3 favorite players to win here are Berdych (5.00), Pouille (6.00) and Goffin (6.50). Goffin is in the other part of the draw but he’s far from his best form and I can’t see him playing his best tennis here now. Pouille is the defending champion and he will be with a lot of confidence after the AO but I personally see Tsonga better than him (if they face each other that will be in the Semifinals). The last year Tsonga did semifinal here but he retired for an injury after he won against Pouille the first set 6-1 (I almost sure the Tsonga would have won that match if he had not been injured). Berdych is a real threat, for sure, but he’s in the other part of the draw so if they face each other that will be in the Final. I think that the more dangerous players are in the other part of the draw (Berdych, Goffin, Karlovic, Shapo,…). The way of Tsonga till the Final will be: Humbert, Simon, Darcis/M.Zverev/Chardy and Pouille/Vesely/Gulbis/Hurkacz/Albot/Kohls. Like I said i will not watch any match this week so I only will post this one, a pre-tournament bet. I will just follow your predictions. Good luck. I EDIT because at 888 is paid at 10.00

  20. Manchester City vs Arsenal The big game in the Premier League this weekend comes from the Etihad Stadium at 4:30pm this afternoon where Manchester City face Arsenal in the airline sponsorship derby! The pressure is on City to win here as they lost more ground on their title rivals Liverpool during midweek. Manchester City are now 3rd in the league table after Tottenham's win over Newcastle yesterday. Such are the fine lines between winning and losing that if City win then they could potentially reduce the gap between themselves and Liverpool to just 2 points. Lose, and that gap could extend to 8 points should Liverpool win. Arsenal are involved in their own tight battle in the race for the top four. Currently, Unai Emery's team are in 5th and even though a win is unlikely to move them into the top four due to goal difference they can still move level on points with 4th placed Chelsea. There is still the pressure being put on by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's Manchester United who are 2 points behind in 6th and could over-take the Gunners if they lose here and United win their game at Leicester in the early afternoon kick-off. Both of these teams have had question marks held over their heads over recent weeks. City have lost 4 of their last 9 league matches. That's as many defeats as in their previous 72 matches. The Gunners have only won 5 of their last 10 league games. It's led to criticism being fired their way but a win here for either side would silence the doubters for the short term. There is mixed news on the team selection front. City are likely to be without Benjamin Mendy and Vincent Kompany leaving them without some key experience in defence. It's the opposite for Arsenal as they are hoping to welcome back Laurent Koscielny after his jaw injury. New signing Denis Suarez is also available for selection. The statistics are favouring City here. City have the opportunity to win a fourth straight top flight game against Arsenal for the first time since 1935 and 1937. Arsenal have also lost the last four meetings between these two sides in all competitions. During those matches they have conceded 11 goals and scored just 1. Pep Guardiola's side are also in destructive form at home right now. It's now 5 home matches won in a row in all competitions with 24 goals and none conceded in the last four of those games. Guardiola also has the advantage over Emery with the City manager undefeated against his Spanish counterpart in their last 11 meetings with 7 wins and 4 draws. I think all the signs point to a home win here. It might not be an easy job for City but they are coming back into decent form. Arsenal are still patchy and I thought they were incredibly lucky to beat us in midweek. Unless they seriously improve their performance levels of recent weeks they'll be on the wrong end of a hiding. I can see City winning this but even winning it by 2 or 3 potentially. Manchester City -1 @ 1.72 with Sportingbet Manchester City HT/FT @ 1.80 with Coral
