  1. Went to Chester yesterday, here are some of the photo's I took. I stood down at the bend entering the straight, you get a great view sitting on the bank and the start of the Chester Cup is down there too. Its just a tenner to get in there too so its not a rip off.

My main pick today is Paire @2,17 He is doing very well so far, winning against Carreno Busta and Wawrinka, while Cuevas had some problems against Mahut and Bellucci. Furthermore he has a 3-0 (H2H) record against Cuevas without dropping a set. Other bets: Coric +5.5 games, Kyrgios, Sevastova and Bouchard.

Can't believe i am typing this but still Ferrer to beat Nishikori holds value to me.Ferrer,as it has been poitned out,is an aging force and can't rely on his speed and extreme resiliance anymore but still had a good start against Kukushkin. He should've been out already if Tsonga didn't retire but that's how tennis is.Nishikori had a relatively good start to the season but an injury took him out for a month or so and his fitness is still very questionable. He was very close to get defeated by Schwartzman but somehow managed to get out of his grip.Anyway i think this game will be between 2 players who are not at their best and fatigue could play a major role.I think the Spaniard might edge it eventually if he stays focused and competetive as longer as he can and push him all the way to the 3rd set Ferrer to win @ 3.50 with bet365

  4. Toronto +0.5 @ 1.75(pinnacle) These 2 teams met about 3 weeks ago where Crew came out on top with a 2-1 win. Toronto was all over them and deservingly scored 1st. After that, they switched off and allow Crew to get a comeback win. Since that defeat, Toronto form has been irresistible as they won 4 straight games. They even managed to get a 1-0 win over Sounders in Seattle with a weakened squad last weekend. 4 starters(Giovinco, Vazquez, Beitashour, Zavaleta) who are rested for the game against Sounders should all be back. It's likely Altidore who could be rested(maybe on the bench) for this game. I think Toronto will not be so complacent this time round. The return of Giovinco and Vazquez(lead the league with 6 assists) should also give them a stronger lineup than the 1 that played against the Sounders. I think they should be able to at least get a draw this time round.

  5. King's Stand Stakes (Tuesday 20th June) This looks a nice ante post betting race with several of the market leaders having other targets or some holes in their form. Lady Aurelia heads the betting at 9/2 best priced but is also entered in the Commonwealth Cup. She didn't stay a yard of 6 furlongs last year but did seem to settle better when winning on her reappearance at Keeneland although I would expect her to line up here. The concern I have with her is whether she will train on as Ward has his 2 year olds very forward as we saw with Acapulco who didn't train on a yard. Marsha was very impressive the last day at Newmarket and looks rock solid at 6/1 but she might not be that much shorter on the morning of the race given the way bookmakers operate these days. Acapulco looks miles off what is required here based on her recent form and looks a massive lay at 8/1. She never matched her run over course and distance and even that piece of form would likely leave her short here. She's also in foal so we don't know how that will affect her. Profitable won this last year but Royal Ascot is usually run on quick ground so he probably won't get his ideal conditions like he did last season. That's enough to put me off him repeating his win. Washington DC has been running well over 5f but 14/1 looks a little short when he's likely going to need to pull out a little more improvement to win here going against his pretty exposed profile. If Limato turns up at Royal Ascot he must be near certain to run in the Diamond Jubilee over 6f and you would have to think the same race would be the plan for Quiet Reflection as well as Brando. Caravaggio is probably a near definite runner in the Commonwealth Cup all being well too. Signs of Blessing had a fantastic campaign last year probably not getting the credit he deserved going off big prices despite showing top class form. He remains of interest but he's another who is likely going to stick to 6f contests. Goldream and Cotai Glory look the interesting ones at the prices. These are out and out 5f sprinters who love fast ground making them likely runners in this event. The former won this race two years ago but was pulled from the race last season on account of the soft ground and seems to relish the sprint course at Ascot. However at the prices I prefer Cotai Glory who was 2nd behind Profitable last year beaten just a neck and his reappearance can be excused when well beaten by Marsha at Newmarket. He stumbled out of the stalls, raced keen and doesn't seem to like undulating courses. It's possible he might even improve on his run in this last year given that he's a good moving horse and his trainer Charles Hills is adamant he wants fast ground. With this ante post market potentially cutting up badly Cotai Glory looks a good bet at 33/1. 3.40 Ascot - Cotai Glory @ 33/1 Skybet

  6. Had a look at it, didn't like it - fortunately. It's not just about the bets you take it's about the ones you leave as well. Hopefully I'll continue to leave the losers for a little longer.

  8. I understand the temptation to take Paire, is great but I still think it should be treated with caution. Yes granted that Paire has a better h2h record over Cuevas, however Cuevas is still the most reliable one on the surface and the one with more talent. He is also Ranked ahead of Paire. I read the argument made against Cuevas which said he struggled against Belucci and Mahut? I would not exactly call that a struggle as both of those opponents were credible. First Bellucci has already had some decent games on clay and has respectable form. We also know that any player in the class of Mahut Karlovic and Herbert, who play unorthodox games on the surface by charging at every ball, it can be hard work to beat them. So Cuevas actually did well. I am not saying in any way that Cuevas will win, I am just pointing out that considering his pedigree he can not be a dead certainty to lose. In fact, the h2h record is more reason to be cautious. I will take Coric total games over 20 as a better alternative. I say this believing that Coric will come close to winning a set for sure. Good luck all!!

  11. There's nothing left to win or lose for Lyon in Ligue 1, so this is the game of the season for them. Ajax have a bad record away from home and Lyon came back from a deficit and won 3-2 just 4 days ago. Lyon to win. No value on United. For United and Mourinho it is about reaching the final and not winning the game. They haven't shown a lot of killer instinct in front of the goal and both teams will be very cautious. Celta know that it will be almost impossible to come back if they concede first and United already have the away goal to put them through. Hate playing Unders but it looks like the best bet. Will stay away though.

  12. This week we have some good odds i think. Hot Phase now in season and all games at same time. Will make - if i find the time - write tomorrow some previews - but guys take a look: in Bundesliga on: Freiburg and Darmstadt - think both will win and then we have the "Rhein-Derby" between Leverkusen and Cologne. Maybe there i go for goals or for Cologne to grab something out of Leverkusen. in Bundesliga II: i will take a look for the Wuerzburg-Sandhausen Game, Stuttgart will made it i think But think i can write for all games some previews. Bundesliga III also only 2 games left - but there is all games in Pre-Game maybe No-Bet.

  16. I expect to be a repeat of the first match, with few goals and a few phases in front of the two foes, I do not think the Mourinho team will allow to question its superiority, I will go again with the few goals MANCHESTER UNITED vs RC CELTA DE VIGO @@ +2.50 Under, odds 1.95 I expect the same match as the first game, Lyon is forced to play aggressively because he needs three goals to qualify, so Ajax can find open spaces and score, it can become an open game with many goals OLYMPIQUE LYONNAIS vs AJAX AMSTERDAM @@ Both team to score, odds 1.40

  19. I agree. Do-or-die game for Arsenal in their run for a CL spot. Apart from Koscielny, who is questionable, every significant player is available for Arsenal. Plus Arsenal beat them 5-0 in Southampton in the FA Cup Last 16 round in their last encounter.

  20. You must be the only non FGR fan who wants them to win! I hope they never get in the league and Vince keeps wasting his money. Tranmere deserve it and I think they will do it although on a neutral pitch I am not sure the prices should be so far apart so no bet for me. Chorley already overcome Kiddie so maybe they will do the same to Halifax although they are the right favs. Ebbsfleet were never fan owned as such more a website with 25k members. That ended a few years ago now and they have rich Asian owners who want to build a big theme park next door to the ground. They blew it against Maidstone last season, but they should do it here although again the price is on the short side. So no bets for me, but it has been another hugely profitable season both on the match betting front and the ante-post front. Looking forward to the summer off and then we can do it all again
