    MLS > Apr 15th & 16th

Ok, so currently in the MLS these are the standouts re-corners. RSL are out at top in corner counts (by a distance) having racked up 44 so far in 6 (7.3 AVG) NY Red Bulls are 2nd on 34 in 6 (5.6 AVG) LA Galaxy are 3rd though they've played one less, they have 33 after 5 (6.6) There's then a bit of a gap between the next block of teams (5 corners on the count) and most teams have a game in hand over RSL and NY so that should be considered. At the bottom end; Colorado only have a measly 13 corners in 4 games (AVG 3.2) 2nd from bottom on the count and possible soon to be bottom, Montreal sat on 14 from 5 (AVG 2.8) 3rd on the bottom end count is Orlando, 17 from 4 games (AVG 4.25) Looking at the fixtures, RSL are (a) at Colorado so it could be the perfect match up to take a corner handicap on the (a) team. LA Galaxy are also up against Orlando this weekend so the if corners stay true to form there's two easy winners there. And finally, as if it couldn't get any better, the RBs are at (h) to DC United who although are not as low as some on the corner count still have only averaged of 4.0 so far this season. I haven't looked at odds yet but there's a start.

  2. I doubt they will rest players. Winning the EL guarantees them a CL group stage spot. If they wanted to qualify through the league, they would have given up on the EL long ago. Their inconsistent league form doesn't make things easier for them.

    New start

I know this is not really the place for this, but don't think I've ever posted in General Chat, and most of my friends on PL are here. Had my last day at work today, and was planning on moving North to be a bit nearer family. But....a few weeks ago I was approached about a job in the Philippines, and after several Skype calls, I got the job, and leave next Tuesday ready to start next Thursday! Philippines are trying to set themselves up as a rival to Macau, and there are now 4 casino/resorts in Manila - City of Dreams (Crown Towers - part of the Melbourne one, Nobu Hotel and Hyatt), Solaire, Resorts World, and the latest, Okada Manila, which is who I will be working for. I will be a bit out of town (65km), but it sounds great - beer is less than $1 a pint, food very cheap, and I'm sure there are lots of other attractions in that part of the world There seem to be quite a few poker clubs in Manila as well, so hopefully will play a bit more than I have the last couple of years - including an APT in a couple of weeks at the Winford Hotel & Casino If all goes well I will be there for a couple of years at least, so if anyone is in the area, send me a message and we can have a beer or two In the meantime, good luck to everyone I've met along the way

    April 10 - April 16

Jiri Vesely to beat (-1.5 sets) Paolo Lorenzi at 2.25 with bet365 Jiri has been playing some decent stuff this week and he is a quite good claycourter which his results this week speaks of even though he's yet to be tested but he easily could have had a harder time against Luca Vanni but beat him easily in straigt sets. Paolo however is a different story this week, there's been no stream for his matches so far but he's been playing horrible by the looks of things. Having a very hard time to take out both out of form GG-Lopez and 300+ ranked Gianluigi Quinzi who he beat on clay in straight sets in 2013 by 6-1 6-2 when he apparently was playing better or his opponent worse on the challenger tour. But still having a look at this matchup Jiri vs Paolo I can see two meetings between them which was won in Wimbledon by 7-6 7-6 6-4 by Jiri and later same season in USO also won by Jiri 6-4 6-4 6-4. When thinking of past results and how both men have been playing so far this tournament it only leads me to think that Paolo isn't playing well enough to be able to take a set against Jiri. So based on all this I think I'll have to try Jiri in straight sets.

    April 10 - April 16

Kristyna Pliskova to beat (-1.5 sets) Marketa Vondrousova at 2.50 with bet365 First bet of tomorrow falls on the lesser Pliskova sister Kristyna and she faces a youngster in 17 year old czech Marketa Vondrousova who has capitalized on less well playing opponents beating Annika Beck last time out who just isn't playing well these days. She's only 17 and has had a good tournament for her ranking of 233. Her results this week will propel her to a career high ranking of 221+ since her best was 222 in april this season. She's a fast rising good talent but I suspect that a meeting with Kristyna will be a touch to high of a level for her. Kristyna has played very well so far and I don't see her dropping a set here to her younger czech country woman. Kristyna has an identical serve to her sister Karolina and it's very hard to break her serve just like it's hard to break Karolinas serve and proof of that comes when looking at Kristyna so far this tournament where she is yet to drop her serve and having only faced one break point in her two matches. Marketa faces an uphill struggle from start to finish in this match with Kristynas serve and powerhitting being the hardest parts to cope with. Can't miss such a good bet as this one. Marketa is not overrated but she just happens to face a powerhouse on serve here and it should be to tough for her to even take a set.

  7. Here we go again. You do have the terrorist kind of personality As I was writing about Monaco crazy conversion rate, I need to add this statistic fact: Monaco have scored 9 goals with their last 11 shots on target in the Champions League. Surgical. Chapeau!

  8. I don't think so. I've already had problems getting on at some books so I'll probably just use the exchanges from now on. I'll always try to get the best price though because every tick counts from a compounding point of view.

  9. Wetherby 4.00 Master Jake - win bet 11/2 Bet Victor - stable possibly found the key to this one last time out with 3m and good ground when wining with something to spare at Fakenham and he has those conditions again today. MASTER JAKE

  10. Bloody hell, this is out of control now! Taking corner betting to the next level. Remember the date! On a serious note, I am very keen to see what the corner stats are for each league to see if there are trends across the leagues.

  11. Ajax win @ 2.4 Lyon win & BTTS @ 2.875 Celta @ 1.667 or O2.5 @ 1.9 Marcos Rojo anytime card @ 3 Will also lump a small amount on an acca of the first picks @ 34.51. With Celta O2.5 it's 39.33.

Can't see anything for today apart from some short odds, so here I go with one such pick.

  16. I tried this a few seasons back but team news and previews are hard to find. And I need to google translate it as well which makes it more tedious.

  17. Pretty sure I can automate corner ratings from the ratings too. Just finishing off a couple of things with developers at the moment, then I'll get on that.

  18. This is a tough weekend IMO. Crystal Palace - Leicester over 2,5 might be the bet I'm taking. Everton had problems with their defensive lineup against Leicester, but Leicester also leaked 4 goals against them. CP also has a lot of firepower, Zaha, Benteke etc.. Maybe small stakes for this one but this looks tempting to me.

  19. Some value picks today. Monaco @ 5.75. Underrated team and the explosion would have a psychological impact on Dortmund. We have to wait and see if it's positive or negative. The odds are great here though. Monaco +2 @ 1.66 not a bad price either. BTTS First half @ 3.30 is tasty for two high scoring teams Leicester +2 @ 1.90 is good considering they will play 10 men at the back and seek a counter for an away goal. Atletico traditionally not a high scoring team. Bayern win @ 1.85 also good. Ancelotti knows Real and they are very formed. Over 3 Asian line @ 1.83 gets a max stake from me.

  20. I expect a seat and experience the institution of Atletico measure today to be able to exploit the weaknesses of Leicester and get the win but it will be a few goals ATLETICO MADRID vs LEICESTER CITY @@ +3.25 Under, odds 1.48 Real Madrid and eight games has given so far has been more than three goals all scored goals, he scores as easily as easily accept some goals. I expect, as all one huge and interesting battle, both teams have great offensive lines, but often have defensive issues, so today I expect to score both teams and confirm the Goals FC BAYERN MUNICH vs REAL MADRID @@ Both team to score, odds 1.53

  21. If Norwich/Fulham doesn't go Over 2.5, I'm going to skydive out of my next flight without a parachute! Should be more like Over 12.5.

  22. Brentford v Derby - BTTS is a banker. Bristol City should be feeling pretty good about themselves after the weekend and I've got a feeling QPR have gone into 'switch off' mode. Maybe worth looking at. Also I quite like Sheff Wed to beat Cardiff, another squad that might already be looking towards next season.

  23. Also decided to back Roberts to score a try at 9/2 with Spreadex. 11/4 next best, had a tough time with injuries of late but still looks generous.

  24. I'll be out on the sauce again tonight ofcourse but I managed to get on. I'll be backing Barney again this week. I don't see how Taylor is a favourite against Barney right now considering Barney has beat the best couple of players in the world over recent weeks. Taylor was 4-0 down over Klaasen and it was only Klaasens injury that set him back to let Phil back in. I also fancy Wright and Anderson to both win without too much fuss so I'll be taking the handicaps in both. Not been impressed with Lewis and Chisnall not too much to play for and is far too inconsistent. 5pts Barney to beat P.Taylor 8/5 Betbright 2.5pts P.Wright -2.5 to beat Chisnall 11/10 Bet365 2.5pts G.Anderson -2.5 to beat Lewis 6/5 Bet365

  25. Wigan v Cas: Gale to score a try at 3/1 with Lads. RP make a decent case for him at 5/2 so the enhanced 3/1 looks even more appealing. As they put it, "Gale's eight-try tally is more than he managed in the whole of 2016. He has touched down in five of the seven matches which makes the 5-2 chalked up against him getting on the scoresheet look a huge price."
