  1. I like Khachanov today, maybe as the whole season so far.... Having bet on almost all Khachanov matches this season I'm a bit frustrated at how he's managed to lost especially two of them. Against Lu at 1.90 a match in which he was in complete control and had a set and break lead, he lost the second and third set in TB and in the last one he had a MP but he couldn't convert it. Then again Troicki this weekend, he had a 4-0 lead in the last TB and somehow he lost it too. Against big Ivo he lost 2-0 with two TB so yeah it can be said that he has some issues when going to a TB. Tonight he faces the one and only Benoit Paire in Montpellier. Conditions here are a bit fast which will help Khachanov powerful serve. Paire has held his serve just 71.3% of times on hard court in the last 52 weeks while he's broken 20.4% that makes a total of 91.7% which is really low for a top 50 player. However we know Paire and he can put an excellent perfomance out of nowhere it just depends on his mood. He's a former finalist here but in that run he beat mediocre oposition with the exception of Simon. On the other hand, Khachanov has a powerful serve which should be favoured by this conditions. His hold+break stats are over the 100% mark so based on that he should be favourite here. He played a 5-setter on friday against troicki and he was cramping by the end of the 4th set. The match lasted 4;30 that's a lot but given he's had four days to rest I think that wouldn't be a major issue. He's got a better serve than Paire for sure and he's a good backhand and forehand although sometimes he misses some incredible shots... I suppose the only reason why Khachanov is underdog is because he played 4.30 on friday.. Also the match will be played on GreenSet surface, especially used for indoors tournaments and Paire has not a good recent record on that surface as he lost in first round in Antwerp Rotterdam Montpellier and Metz last year against the likes of Millot, Mathieu, Darcis and Dodig.... If I don't stake a full 5 units on this bet is because I prefer to be a bit cautious regarding Khachanov fitness and bad TB record. Still I'm happy to back Khachanov at odds of over 2. 3.5 units on Khachanov to win at 2.05

  4. I completely agree. I've had my thoughts on Khachanov too so I'm taking him to win.

  5. Wrong thread, @andrewcalo! The Liverpool game might actually be called off due to rain though. Rain from the tears of all the Reds fans crying as their side relentlessly try to gurgenpress (spelling?) their way to victory against a side that just sits back and counters to nullify it.

    Midweek > Feb 7th & 8th

I decided to skip Monaco in this week as well, as Montpellier has Boudebouz back in team, and specially because Jardim could rest Bernardo Silva as he is slightly injured and CL is coming soon... He is by far the most creative player in this league and even if Monaco has lot of good players, he is the one who can break any kinds of defences.

  9. I'll be swerving the midweek games I think, if I was forced to bet on anything it would be Morton to beat Raith. Morton had a poor result at the weekend but QOS isn't an easy place to go, the playing surface is terrible, a real leveller. They like to get the ball down and play football and are, imo, the second best team in the league. Raith are shockingly bad and I think the 6/4 for Morton has a touch of value. However, after the weekend I've just had, I wouldn't listen to me if I was you

  10. Sorry I Tweeted this but forgot to put it up on here so the treble can only be a double now. Whitehawk v Eastbourne There seemed to be little change for the home side on Saturday as they lost yet again and defensive issues were to the fore once again. It is hard to see how much can have changed so they look well worth opposing again given how much money that has won us so far in the last few weeks. Eastbourne have only won 3 away matches this season, but two of those come in their last 4 away games and they have only lost to 3rd place Dartford in their last 6 games. Why they aren't clear favourites I don't know and Marathon's 1.6/1 is a big price. Treble Tonight Hungerford host Truro and it should be a home win. Truro have lost 5 of their last 6 games meanwhile Hungerford are unbeaten in their last 11 league games. Gospot's last league win was 11 games ago and although their game was off on Saturday and Hampton & Richmond played Eastbourne, I still think that Hampton should have more than enough to win. They have only lost twice in their last 10 games and Gosport another of the leagues troubled sides. Finally in the National League North 3rd place Kidderminster can cut Fylde's lead down to 6 points as they go to a Stalybridge side who have picked up just 15 points all season. The treble pays 2.8/1 with Marathon.

  13. Hello all, I having been following this forum each week and reaping the rewards, thank you! Monday 6th Feb Merstham vs South Park - County Cup I have been following my local team Merstham and they play tonight in Surrey Senior Cup under County Cup on bet365. Ive seen them play 5 times this season and not seen them win, including a 3-0 home defeat to a team in same division as South Park! However tonight I fancy them at 1.61! Why? Merstham are very much a confidence team, when they have a big win they follow it up with more big wins. When they are losIng they go on a run of losing! Last match they broke their away duck for the season with a 4-0 win in the league. They didn't play at weekend and I fancy them to rack up a big win because despite their league position they are a very good, quick team who score goals at home. When they lost 3-0 at home to a team in same league (but significantly above South Park) it was 0-0 and they missed some sitters before their captain was sent off and they lost their heads. They are defending champions and very proud of it. South Park are struggling in the league below. Nice local derby for Merstham to show their quality that got them to Round 1 of the FA Cup. Plus I can't go so they are bound to win!! Bet365 - Back Merstham at 1.61

  15. Besides PSG, I don't have any good feelings for those games... Montpellier with Gasset the new coach could do something at home against monaco, they've just won, Ikoné seems on fire as Mounie, i don't believe in it really, but tough one... Could be an easy victory for monaco too... But with the champions league coming soon, i wonder if some players couldn't have their mind and focus somewhere else... I have a good feeling about Marseille, Metz and Nice but not sure i'll take any risks on these ones... St Etienne is perfectly able to catch a draw at Nice, no doubt for me.. tricky match.. Guimgamp is also not a bad team, coached by an ex-coach of PSG who is a real fighter, and insist on a real game identity, Guimgamp did a few good games, and sometimes deserved the victory in a few games... they're in a bad row, but can have a reaction at Marseille... I will wait until tomorrow to make a decision, but in the middle of a week, i'm not a big fan of these games which often produce some surprises..

  16. Nice - St. Etienne PICK: Nice AH -0,5 @2,07 SBO 6/10 Match between 3rd and 5th placed team in Ligue 1 will be played on Allianz Riviera in Nice and it will start on Wednesday at 19:00. Nice lost derby de la cote d'Azur with 3-0, but they didn't play that bad. Specially not in first half. In second guys from Monaco have shown how accurate they are with conversion rate above 20% again. President of Nice said that they won't give up, and that they will response in shortest possible time. Belhanda came in in 64th minute and I think that this time he will be prepared for whole match. He is crucial player in Nice's final third, scoring, assisting and creating chances. St. Etienne is coming with boosted morale, but I see few chances for them in this match. They have still some problems with injuries, and for me they are far from dangerous team in attack. It's big focus on defence in this team and even though they won the derby with Lyon, I think that they will have tough 90 minutes. That goalkeeper Ruffier is one of they're best players tells a lot about this team. Well, he is still injured. So we have two teams coming into match from derby, one losing it and one winning it, and I am going with first one. Crazy? Maybe for someone, but not for me. Nice have too much of quality. I am never talking about Balotelli, because in my opinion he is not much better than Plea, but both of team are more than solid attackers and St. Etienne don't have player like that. If I would compare all the positions, I think that Nice would be at least equal or better. Ball possession will be hugely on side of Nice which means more possibility to create chances and on the other hand also less possibilities for chances of St. Etienne. Maybe we'll see Favre going back to system with 4 defenders, but for me those odds are simply too high. It's true that teams are close on league table, but take a good look. There is same difference between Nice (3.) and St.Etienne (5.) than St. Etienne (5.) and Angers (18.)! So there is no reason to put those two teams in same class. St. Etienne will need a lots of luck to take something from this match and in my opinion they won't get anything here. Straight on Nice!

  18. The last weekend of Ligue 1 action saw the most replies in a single thread in this section since 10th March, 2014 showing how strong Ligue 1 is now becoming with you guys. The action is thick and fast with a full selection of midweek games coming up. @FCNA and @Pep004, it is a shame that Nantes lost to Nancy. I was hoping they could put a string of results together. Is there hope for a win against Bastia on Wednesday night? @sajtion, you made some great points last week currently foreseeing that Monaco win and the tightness of the Bordeaux game. Unfortunately, Lille let you down. @betcatalog, a rare missed bet with the Marseille game only having one goal but you did claw some back on the Monaco game. @Icongene, you were also a victim of that Marseille result having back them to win. Do you guys reckon they can rectify things at home to Guingamp on Wednesday evening? @andrewcalo, you also got involved on the weekend with some wise betting. Fancy anything here? @DrBetter, great to have you involved mate. Looking at any bets in this midweek action? @mrclubbie, you also backed Toulouse to win. Easy money in the end. How will they follow it up with a tough trip to Lorient this Wednesday?

  19. one of the strongest memories i have is when hull beat arsenal in 2008 and i even remember the goal. i was waiting to cash in my coupon and then bang. it was a huge disappointment. it still lingers in my mind all these years and for that reason i cannot get involved in this match. i think there are few players in arsenal that are not happy to be there, ozil and sanchez. this will be hard match for arsenal because hull are fighting hard and with vigor. anything could happen here and i would not be surprised if hull got something. it's probably best not to add it your banker coupon.

  20. well using my extremely gifted intuitive telepathy i have pierced through the dimension in space where past, present and future all exist at the same time and to my knowledge thing will go like this.... leicester will not give a damn about this cup game and i know that because they are in dogfight to survive relegation so i think they will completely abandon this match in favour of staying fresh for the forthcoming premier league game. as if they were not struggling with form already, derby has taken more serious strides to progress in this competition. wigan and norwich has drawn written all over. norwich are in slightly better form but this will difficult match for them as wigan will look to limit their threat and chances. 1 to 0 to either side is also very possible. milton keynes should routinely beat oldham. i just do not see oldham's negative style game holding up and home team have had some exceptional good results recently so i see solid 2 -0 or 3-0 victory blackpool has drawn 5 out of 6 competitive matches and that says a lot about the way they play. they clearly don't have much cutting edge at the moment but it's no reason to think their form is in decline. i think they have good chance to win here as crawly are regularly exposed defensively so a results like 2-1 is expected i was surprised by morecombe draw with doncaster and this clearly shows they are now much more solid team than they were before although this doesn't mean they are suddenly a consistent winning side. the result may give them some confidence going into this match but morecambe have never beaten leyton in their previous meetings and considering they will be guest again i am hoping that past record holds up. leyton orient took the lead against carlisle at the weekend but ending up losing the match in the end. they will be desperate to stop a run of five consecutive losses and they faced some tough opponents so i think they will get over the line here and with this match by maybe 2-1 so that is my opinion and good luck

  21. Cambuur to win @ 2.05 Guests are playing the nicest, slickest football in Eerste D at the moment. They did buy winger Jurjan Mannes lately, which is a great transfer to the existing very strong squad. They are on fire in the league(smashed decent Helmond 3 0 on Friday),also they progressed into Dutch Cup quarters. De Graafschap is on terrible run lately, team lacking chemistry, seasonnos pretty much over for them at this stage, they can start preparing for 2017/18 already.
