WTA Tokyo, Japan Alison Riske to beat Saisai Zheng @ 1.57 (Bet365) Alison Riske -3.5 games to beat Saisai Zheng @ 2.00 (Sportsbet Australia) Saisai Zheng won her 1st WTA title on the weekend @ home country tournament in Dalian but most of the wins came against fellow Chinese girls plus a final against Julia Glushko (out of form). Before that she was on a poor stretch of games on hardcourt losing mainly against the run of the mill lower WTA tournament girls. The next tournament the following week will be in Guangzhou, China; where Saisai Zheng is entered into the main draw so I'd be leaning on her mind being set on keeping fresh for another run at her home tournament. Saisai also won the doubles tournament in Dalian too so she's played 8 matches in the last week Riske is on a losing run too but last 4 opponents are more than decent (Wozniacki, Bouchard, Svitolina plus a game v Witthoeft). Riske has a 3-0 head to head record v Zheng and has covered a 4 game handicap each time. On the 2 hardcourt meetings, including one in China, Riske won 6-1 6-0 (in China 2014) and 6-2 6-2 (Australian Open 2013). One meeting on grass this year finished 6-3 6-4. I'm happy to back Riske to bounce back into form this tournament after a run of difficult games on the hardcourt.

Leicester City- Aston Villa City have been proving fun to watch, they have yet to keep a cleansheet, or taste defeat, scoring 12 goals themselves , Villa are struggling defensively, conceding 11 in their last four EPL away starts, that includes a 1-0 win at Bournemouth, where they should have conceded at least twice, they also shipped three at home to League 2 Notts County in the Capital One Cup and two at Villa Park to Sunderland and Tim Sherwood has a big ask sorting out his backline. He is a very offensive minded coach anyway and always wants to play on the front foot, it was always going to be tough to replace Christian Benteke, but his team have been creating chances and pose a big aerial threat especially through Rudi Gestede and the crosses of left-back Jordan Amavi and the same is also true of the Foxes who have scored a EPL high three headed goals and Villa showed a weak spot in defending crosses/corners versus Crystal Palace. Therefore, we can surely look for both to be getting the ball into the box at every opportunity and as quickly as possible and neither team looks likely to keep a clean sheet. I can actually see improvement in Villa and when Amavi and Leandro Bacuna do not go quite so gung-ho on the flanks , or get protection, they will look more solid and Sherwood is looking to address this with a change in formation ( but been unable to work on it over the break, with key players away on international duty) and whilst I see the visitors having more than a 20% (5.0) chance of winning this, they are another team who will probably be stronger in 3-4 weeks time. For today, I suspect they will need to score at least once and probably twice to get something out of this, both to score looks solid, but 1.80 is way too short for me, so ..... over 2.75 goals 2.19 asian line/Sportmarket will be my pick and a 2-2 draw my suggestion for any adventurous minded readers.

The upgrade to VB5 had to be done because of security exploits and to make the forum mobile, however, it's been nothing but problems unfortunately. We don't upgrade because it's fun to do so, it's always "needed". VBulletin 5 is slow and clunky. We've really tried to make it work, but enough is enough. PL will be moving to IPB forum software September 28th, all being well. However, there are ALWAYS issues after a big move like that, so bear with us afterwards and let's get the speed back up and forum functioning as it did before the move to VB5, hopefully even better. PM's will NOT be transferred, so make sure you have everything you need from there.

Have to agree with Simeon here. City have improved the squad while Juve have lost key players and brought in Mandzukic who is a useless player. Like stated above, Juve's great strength the last few seasons was Pogba, Pirlo, Vidal and Marchiso. In this foursome there's class, fight, creativity and energy. Everything you could wish for in a midfield. Now they'll only be able to field Pogba alone. Never write Juve off but I think City will catch them at a good time here. This is what they bought De Bruyne for, to help Silva break down good defences in Europe and he could play a decisive role hear after showing a decent performance at the weekend.

I am looking to put my money on a double in Norway 1-two home wins(Sogndal and Brann)Sogndal are,as you mentioned,1st with just several rounds to go and should be extremely motivated to maintain their good run while Brann are chasing a top 3 spot as well to return to top flight.Thie opponents are from the bottom of the table and on paper these two should feel no difficulties whatsoever but an extra opinion will be much appreciated

I don't understand why people are so optimistic about Juve. They are really lucky to be 0-1-2 in Serie A as they should've been 0-0-3.Chievo had the better chances and should feel like they've lost 2 points in that game.So a team who lost a few of their key player from last season and started the season badly cannot be expected to go to UK against the most in form team amongst all of the top flight divisions and beat them.Agreed that City have been far from competetive when it comes to Euro stage but seriously how can you expect Juve to up their performance on such a short notice?.I think it's obvious that they miss their starting CM's and for tomorrow Marchisio is out too.It will take time for the new gus to settle in and i am sure Juve can fight for the 1st place in Italy but after such a bad run and poor form i think the odds are set correctly.City are heavy favourites and although Aguero is not available they still have players who can enjoy being on the field.Juve will lack creativity without vidal,Pirlo and Marchisio and against such a physically strong opposition as City's i really think this will be a one way traffic.2:0 would be my call here.City to win @ 1.75 high stakes with bet365.

Well these are the away games Arsenal thrive in. Zagreb are the dominant force in Croatia with technical superiority and class in their league. They aren't adept at defending against serious world class attacks and we see them as light weights in defence but always capable of scoring against sides. Arsenal will need to watch Algerian international Soudani who is good, but overall if Dinamo want to pass it around and create chances then ultimately Arsenal should cut them to pieces. Where I would be more doubtful of Arsenal getting a win is if they traveled to one of those less technical and more physical sides who just wanted to sit in and break up the play. That's when Arsenal get stifled and are more likely to slip up.

The thing is though that next year there'll be another top miler and the year after that there'll be another one, Gleneagles will fade down the pecking order just in the natural course of things whereby this year's 'best horse ever' overshadows last year's 'best horse ever' and so on..........Gleneagles is in danger of just being remembered as 'the non runner'

Palermo V Carpi Carpi +1.0 @ 1.917 Matchbook > 5% BR Palermo have registered consecutive 1-0 victories in the opening 2 game weeks of the new campaign and this may go some way to explaining the pricing of their match with Carpi. For me, Palermo are a ‘hard to beat’ team under the stewardship of coach Giuseppe Iachini. They have a strong spine with the likes of GK Sorrentino, CB Gonzalez, CM Rigoni and SS Vazquez. Generally speaking, Palermo are a well drilled team with a good mentality, this has allowed them to capitalize early doors this season with victories over scaffold opponents. Despite the positives, we must also understand that Palermo are not particularly prolific with the offensive side of their game. The departures of Paulo Dybala and Andrea Belotti has left them light upfront and as a consequence I do not see the Sicilians running up cricket scores anytime soon. Veteran centre-forward Alberto Gilardino will probably make his debut for the club against Carpi, a good signing in my view but one which was desperately needed given the lack of viable options upfront for Iachini. Carpi have shown glimpses of what they can do at this level in their opening two games. They came unstuck against a very offensive Sampdoria side but looked a lot more organized in a narrow home defeat to Inter Milan (a team which is also struggling with the offensive phase of the game). You would feel that Fabrizio Castori’s side can take confidence from the clash with the nerazzurri, Carpi are not the finished article yet but I don’t think they are too far away from registering their first positive result of the campaign. Carpi and Palermo both tend to deploy a similar module: 3-5-1-1 / 3-5-2. Neither side retain the ball particularly well so I wouldn’t expect either to really dominate possession over the course of this contest. As a consequence, Carpi will probably face less pressure in the balance of play compared to their opening two matches. Looking at how the two teams usually setup, I do not see a significant tactical advantage for Palermo in this game. Clearly Palermo are the better developed side overall and are rightly favorites for this game but to have Carpi on such a big line is a little excessive in my view. The biancorossi are not far away from being competitive at this level and I feel this contest maybe an opportunity for them to pickup their first positive result of the campaign. The generous +1.0 line gives us nice coverage so I will get behind Carpi here, maybe they will surprise the markets.
