  4. We'll call it a clean sweep for Yorkshire then Pleased we won something! Just goes to show how close it was overall this month when Andy previoiusly =2nd dropped down to 8th. And it is indeed a true tie for 2nd spot between Ian and Simon, with Stephen the winner of the last two legs taking the champion's title. May Winners 1st @McG £75 (+ PL Mug and Pens) =2nd @ian309 £37.50 =2nd @Rhino_Power £37.50 I'm really sorry I've got behind with sending off the payments, will get the outstanding lists sent off tonight. @McGlet me know if you want the merch arranging.

  5. I'm putting on again a £3 each way 6 horses DOUBLES. In this gallimaufry there must be a couple of Doubles. I'm backing the same horses, for £1.50, in an EACH WAY 4 fold ACCUMULATOR. Hopefully 4 of those 6 horses will be an ACCA. So £4.50 isn't bad.

  10. The Punters Lounge £150 added Poker League starts up tonight for JUNE and will run for the next 4 weeks on Wednesday nights. The £150 added by Punters Lounge is shared between the top 3 in the league at the end of the month. Games start at 8.10pm, with a 20min late registration period on top of this. All games are played in the PokerStars Home Games PL Poker Club. The format is a NLHE 3000 chip tourney in Legs 1 & 2 and a 5000 chip NLHE for final leg. Leg 3 is our PLO Leg with 5000 chips. > Leg 1 : Wednesday 5th June at 20.10 BST in the PL Poker Club Home Game - NLHE 3000 chips > Leg 2 : Wednesday 12th June - NLHE 3000 chips > Leg 3 : Wednesday 19th June - PLO 5000 chips > Leg 4 : Wednesday 26th June - NLHE 5000 chips - (double entrants in points formula)** Buy in is $5.50 per leg. Your top 3 scores of the 4 legs will count towards your league total. We will be using the usual PL poker league format, which will be updated in this thread. (The PokerStars own league scores will not be used.) Formula is -Log(position/Entrants)x100 To help boost numbers overall and in particular in the final leg we are continuing the system of doubling the number of entries used in the calculation in leg 4 (**so if 10 entries the formula will use 20 entrants). This will increase the number of points available in the final leg to make it more competitive. All members are welcome, however you must post in this thread if asked to let us know your forum username, otherwise your placings and scores cannot be included in the league. New players are always welcome to join in, so please spread the word and invite your friends to the forum so we can keep the weekly numbers up and remain viable. £150 Added Value & Punters Lounge Merchandise The £150 added will be split between the top 3 players of the league end, with £75 to the league champion, £45 to 2nd and £30 to 3rd. This will be payable via PayPal at the end of the league. Big thank you to Punters Lounge for the added funds. The league winner will also get Punters Lounge merchandise, which consists of our logo mug and pack of 10 pens. Unfortunately due to supplier shipping restrictions we may be unable to provide these to members who live outside of the UK. To join the PokerStars PL Home Games Club: club id = 744199 password = PLPokerClub We also have a PL Poker Club Facebook group where regular reminders are also posted. True of course but it shows that there's still room for improvement at the top level. Eventually someone's going to come along who doesn't make the mistakes and loses most of their points via winners from the opponent. A player like that would clean up.

  16. Yeah ....I'ts risky .this one ....really needs rain to stay away or at least no worse than good sft ...currently good with possible up to 13mm if the rain hits but they it. Could miss ...and they may decide to go for the group race but he'd be a 20/1+ outsider for that race so I don't see why it would .....if goes for this race and the the ground is no worse than good sft then I think it wins and probably easy so his price would look silly ...but if the ground goes soft I'd probably cash out or lay out for the smAllest loss ......but looks exciting bet on paper

  18. Sea Prince 14:15 Southwell (12/1 Skybet 5 places). Solid front runner, likes the track, goes well fresh and is looking well handicapped off 112 (been as high as 122). Can't see why he shouldn't go well. 0.5pts e/w 12/1 Skybet 5 places. P/L: -4pts. Blundered and unseated with a circuit to go, no idea how he'd have got on but maybe the ground softening wouldn't have helped anyway.

  19. That one was nearly seven years in the making. Near the start of this thread I copped when France couldn't beat Luxembourg at 1.01 the last time they played them at home - the only consolation was I hadn't bet on them to win, instead I'd gone for a couple of goals so there was 'consolation' in the fact I hadn't just missed out. Bet 54 won. Next stake £3088.06

When you think about how this is the elite level of the sport it's staggering that players can make so many mistakes.

Absolutely. Paolini didn't win the match, Rybakina won it for her. Looking like Sabalenka is going out too.

It was with Sky Bet. Not saying my figures are gospel (I'm using a methodology that works on individual games for the tournament goals scored by the player) but if that bet you mention is for OVER 3 goals it looks a bit short. I have them both at odds against so it comes out more like a 4/1 shot. I've just ploughed through all of Unibet's player goal prices and the only one I found that comes close to being appealing is 6/5 for Fernandes >1.5 goals. Quite a few look ok at first glance but don't stack up when doing the maths.

I don't know what the heck happened to her, 🙈 completely unfocussed out there, dreadful performance, Paolini did well but Rybakina pretty much handed the match to her with that shocking effort.

  27. Unibet up with loads of team markets (including player goals etc) that are worth a closer look. I've done 2 so far. Fernandes top Portugal goalscorer at 7/1 Rodri top Spain goalscorer 25/1 (same price in a few places) Small stake on the latter, saw it tipped but can't say I've got that much enthusiasm for it. Possible pen taker. Had seen the 7/1 Bruno elsewhere but couldn't get on so was glad when they matched it. Ronnie the favourite (surprise, surprise) but I like Bruno at the odds. Scored twice last night.

  34. Just a quick one ....I've started typing the weekend racing in and first race to finish was the 225 hay ....computer had one horse quite a bit clear of rest and I thought what crappy price am I gonna get on this ...expecting 9/4 .....and it's 12/1 willh !!.....I'll try 10pt Ew at that value price ... Davina grace .....I think might have double entry though .....this looks the stronger chance but you never know ...the other race is a group 3 ...I think thats stretching it

  46. Bet365 doesn't seem to have the odds yet. I haven't put any bets on yet, but I'm thinking about the Euros. Here are some thoughts. I think England might get to the semi-finals, with a load of luck. A very good outsider is TURKEY. In Germany there will be a HUGE Turkish support. The Moroccans in 2022 went a long way (World Cup) and I think the Turkish could be semi-finalists. Have to say that I think that the GERMANS will be in the final. I think the other finalists could be Spain or Portugal. I simply do not like France. They often have TERRIBLE tournaments. I remember they were defending World Champions but did not score a single goal. A great semi-final will be Portugal v Spain, and the dram of penalties. This is just a "scratchpad" of my thoughts over the month.
