Default Is a Swan A protected species?

Just noticed a Swan, Which i believe is stuck in the centre of the lake here at the uni. Which is frozen, It moves but seems unable to get up

Do you think I would be right in calling the rspca or the rspob

    Not protected, but privately owned.

It should be OK, i'm sure they survive similar in the wild, but there can be no harm phoning the RSPCA for advice.

Swans are protected here in Ireland and I hope the f'ing Queen doesn't own them!!! Its also Illegal to eat them for some absurd reason - In England, they can be eaten if served at a Royal banquet!! -- To see the rest of this message, please register. --
